The Yotes are just painfully slow at turning possession into useful possession. Have puck in deep or on half wall. Sabres collapse, Yotes turn too slow, passes materialize too slow, puck carrier isn't smooth enough to do it faster if it's not Keller.

TBH I don't think the effort (this game anyway, last game well....) is all that bad.
We just have no skill. Derek Stepan's puck handling makes our current centers look like ECHLers.

I saw plenty of Tocchet team's that couldn't get up to play until late in the 2nd. If this game were Tocchet's team we'd be down 3-0 right now. But Oddly we'd have had a better chance of winning last game due to some insane 5 minute period where it all made sense and they potted 2 or 3.
