I have lived in both places and have had major surgery in both countries. I prefer the US system. I have family up north who have to wait for elective surgery even when there was no covid. My uncle waited for 2 years for a rotator cuff surgery then was told he is to old and they will not do it. The taxation gap has really narrowed between the 2 countries as we here have turned to Socialism. My recent operation was over 100k, my part was $2500, but if you are illegal you pay nothing The whole point of the left is to get people to become dependent on government. With three more years of Biden and his agenda it may be cheaper to live anywhere but here.

I would prefer the US system but not the cost for all electives. For serious injury or illness the differences are negligible for wait times but cost is significantly different to the user. But the discussion with Jakey was only on cost, and I don't think he liked my real world examples.
