Pastrnak rough game but Heinen & DeBrusk were very good

Poitras rebounded from gaffe with a phenomenal shift - he’s a point per game player maybe by year 3 but before age 25

Sloppy best one word description of game

Lohrei did a lot well but he’s learning - Grzelcyk & McAvoy run together like a Swiss clock

I might just keep Heinen with Coyle & Frederic and leave Heinen at LW

Zacha was good and Marchand was as well but Pasta was off

My lines
Marchand - Zacha- Pastrnak
Heinen - Coyle - Freddy
JVR- Poitras- DeBrusk
Lauko- Beecher - Geekie/Steen
Brown

Unless there's a few additions this team isn't getting out of the first round.

They're having a very good year, but it is a completely different game from April on.
Relax

This was the first game in 18 they weren’t leading or tied in the third period (actually they led in the third in 17 of 18 games)

April is 5 months away they got 4 rookies on the bottom 6

What does worrying accomplish that’s positive

I went to this and it was frustrating but they are very good

Grzelcyk will be a welcome addition because he’s a good hockey player

I’ll worry about April in April

PP needs a lot of work. Have yet to see Pasta score on a one timer this season(19 games in)
Lorie needs to shoot more and work on getting shots through.
Monty screwed up the goalie rotation.
Too much passing not enough shooting during 6 on 5.
I hate when Pasta misses then looks straight up. He then slowly sulks his way back into the play. For such a huge talent and paycheck, he leaves me wishing he had a better attitude.

Typical loss for a really good team.

The first round is 4ish months away.
A little early to be worried for a really good team

PP is too predictable. Pass to Pasta meh.
Kids with mistakes.
Top players not finishing.
Can't clear the zone.... Getting old!

Heinen and Debrusk with good goals.
Someone needs to add the Benny Hill theme song to the Bruins trying to clear the puck.
I’ve been harping on the fact that they aren’t skating it out. They’re doing the Clode system of shooting around the boards the the high circle where an opponent is waiting. Last year when they first started playing, they emphasized skating. They aren’t doing that anymore.

I'd say it's more of a mental thing than age related

Zacha has been the worst player at not clearing the puck outta the zone this season and he's only 26

They were about to handle Florida without breaking a sweat until the retired guys inserted themselves into the series badly injured and stayed with a struggling goalie who was also injured.

We lost today because the players probably ate and drank whatever they felt like with their families and Detroit was at a hotel on a road trip.

Yeah, fans gotta cut the B's some slack for today's listless performance

They just got back from Florida with 3 out of 4 points against two damn good teams, then had a quick thanksgiving supper and went right back on the ice for an afternoon game

Has Savard successfully coached a PP and I missed it? He had a natural skill set but does that translate to coaching? Wayne Gretzky was 143-161 as a coach

Marchand was off today. Numerous boneheaded turnovers
Savards OHL coaching career came to an abrupt end:

The best part of this game is that it was over before my work day finished up. Still got the entire Friday night ahead of me

Trouble with fast skating teams.

Trouble with heavy, physical teams.

Trouble with forechecking teams.

Must be a lot of teams in this league that can't do much of anything.
Some fan’s expectations are just nuts. We have 2 regulation losses. Do really do we have trouble with every team? Jesus. No team is perfect including the briuns. Every game is s battle. Its the nhl. We will gave spurt's and some game where we have trouble.
