On what was just another manic Saturday (shoutout, you Bangles fans),
Joonas Korpisalo (28 saves) kept things calm. The Bruins stopper, who could start Monday night with his former club (Blue Jackets) in town, was the sole reason the Bruins had a chance to work overtime before
falling to the Blues, 3-2, at the Garden.
“I felt fresh, hadn’t played in a while,” said Korpisalo, last seen in net on Nov. 7,
an OT win over the Flames. “We were buzzing in the beginning there.”
By nature of the position, goalies are always under pressure. When teams are in a rut, the logic follows that they’re under more pressure.
“You want to win, right?” said Korpisalo, when asked about the added heat that comes around a team scuffling along like the 8-8-3 Bruins. “The OT [goal] … I’m not too happy about that. It is what it is … we’re getting better.”
There are always things to work on, the goalie said when asked about his game in general.
“Just keep working … keep working,” Korpisalo said.

My opinion, if not for him they would have been blown out again.
