Watching this game, I truly think that these are two evenly matched teams when both are at full strength. The absence of Steen, McDonald, and Tarasenko is huge. Hoping we'll see them all by the playoffs.

We don't have the top end talent. Having Hossa, Toews, Kane, and Sharp is a massive advantage.

Man that was some ****** luck for Russell. He did the right thing, and it hits a seem in the glass and bounces right into the slot for Toews. Good thing it was bouncing.

I don't think that top end talent always wins, especially come playoffs. I think our depth is fantastic, when healthy. While those guys are great, I think you are underestimating the talent on the Blues.

No matter how much talent we have on this team, we are never going to be a reliably successful team until we figure out how to play offense in the slot.

Those 4 players won the cup. Hossa went to the finals 3 years in a row. Toews is a true #1 center. Depth is nice and all but no one on the Blues seems to have an extra gear. They have multiple players that do. The Blues can hang around but until someone steps up they aren't even teams.

A healthy Blues team beats the Hawks, especially in the playoffs. Blues will be much too physical for them.

Take away those 4 players and the Hawks suck!

- 30 goals by Hossa,Kane,Toews,Sharp
- 29 goals by the rest of the team
- 229 shots by Hossa,Kane,Toews,Sharp
- 358 shots by the rest of the team

Fair enough, I'll disagree, but when discussing something as subjective as the presence of "extra gears", I could counter with something similarly quantifiable and say that the Blues players have more heart. Also, winning a cup does not make one a good player, there are plenty of phenomenal players who have never won a cup, so I don't think that is a valid criterion in saying someone is better. I agree that the Hawks have better top end talent, but I feel that, in a 7 game series, depth can counter that effectively.

Polak tries to go after the guy, and that puts 2 of our D on one guy. Polak gets caught in no-man's land between the passer and shooter. Easy pass through him and that's all she wrote.

More perimeter play...do we really expect to beat Emery from the blue line?
