So apparently, Penner decapitated Smyth judging by the main board. I must've missed it cause I didn't see anything at all.

Bernier was fine. I agree with that.

Which is all we needed from him. I'm not sure what causes you to think he lost his confidence so maybe you can elaborate a bit more on that. To me, he seemed like he was good all game and mentally sharp. The only issue was with the glove.

JR was making 6.8 mil and couldn't pay for a decent sharpener, what makes you think Ovi will find one making 9 mil :]

Can someone who was at the game describe for me the tears or the red wing fans in attendance. They sure made a lot of noise at 1-0.

Also, If not for Bernier we are down 3-0 after the first.
Are you sure they didn't have to don scuba gear to get out of Staples tonight???

I really must be a jinx. Did the same thing as I did last time for the Ducks game: turned it off and went for a drive while listening to the radio. Did the same thing tonight and even went on the same route. Seems to work...

Going from the main board Penner's nickname should be killer instead of Pancakes. Jesus, comparing him to Cooke? Get real.

It's ****ing HYSTERICAL to watch JEREMY ROENICK call out anyone for being overrated, playing lazy, and looking like ****. Seriously. Comedy gold.

No offending intended, but kinda sounds like you in the game day threads :sarcasm:

Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. No need to change now :handclap:

KINGS WIN!!

This + your avatar = awesome

From their board:

Delusional much?

Cut them some slack, they have no idea what a good team looks like :sarcasm:

It must be awful to be a CBJ fan. Ultimately, at the end of the day, Scott Howson wound up with Jack Johnson and a 1st round pick for Jeff Carter, Jakub Voracek, and Sean Couturier.

No, they traded Voracek and the 8th overall and a 3rd for Jack Johnson and a 1st (currently slated to be about 20th). Not a good trade still, but not as bad as you made it out to be.

Meh? hows it feel to be the sole contrarian. so heady.

Well I'll jump in to support him. Bernier got better as the game went along, but he was shaky at times and certainly needed to be better with the glove. Good positioning, but some of his rebound control needed work. Chalk it up to poor ice and not having played in a week or so.

Silly posts are silly

Then stop posting them.

Overall, we likely didn't deserve the win, but we were also the best team in the second half of the game, and we just got better and better after we scored the Carter goal. The ice must have been pretty bad, considering how bad the puck was bouncing and how many terrible passes both teams made. They were both handling like a gernade at times (outside of Datsyuk, but he could stickhandle through slush).

They say the good teams win even when they shouldn't. So I say it's just proof we are a good team :)

Wow when I watch it like that I realize...

that nothing really happened.

I feel the same. :dunno: kudos to Bernier for getting the job done. I'm not taking that away from him. But, after that goal.. he just didn't like as confident.

But, I'm Quicks number one fan.. sooo.. what do I know?! ;)

I completely disagree. I thought it was quite the opposite, he looked great after giving up the first goal. The guy has a weird style, but it works. Sometimes it screws him over and sometimes it works well. This season, it's fair to say it's worked out well for him, the Kings and Dean Lombardi's leverage in negotiating a trade.
