Not a popular opinion (I'm guessing without looking at the responses), but that's partially on Carlo. He stops up like around the goal line with Benn hot in pursuit. You don't expect a guy to throw on the brakes right there.

Could Benn have done more to avoid that kind of contact? Likely. Did Carlo put himself in a really bad spot? Yes.

It's not as egregious as a 5 minute major and game misconduct entails. Between the two choices, I think the minor is correct.
The hit is the definition of a major board. Carlo holds up to protect himself and Benn fully follows through right in the number a dangerous distance from the boards.

You way overthink the hit here IMO

I'm not overthinking anything. I looked at the play and formed an opinion trying to cast aside hometown bias.

If you don't agree with it, that's fine. But I'm hardly "overthinking". Just trying to think with reason.
