it was worse in the 90's because all the Devils looked the same, and we had to watch the stupid media fawn over Brodeur after every loss they gave us, and non stop talk about his dad taking pictures. God I hated the Devils/Montreal games
Well said...................my god they were the worst games to watch...
Then.............once we started to beat Marty, and he became a mortal, he retired. There was a time, my lord we must have went 10 years without beating them....

1st game we’ll see them wear the reverse retro jerseys.

I gotta be honest. Not a big fan of that sweater. But it is better than the barber shop one.

Wonder who will sit out for Slaf. Drouin? Dadonov?
Drouin had Slaf's spot on the 4th line last game.
Dadonov had the spot on Monahan's line everyone want Slaf to have.

Everyone will say Dadonov, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be Drouin.
That Drouin skipped practice yesterday for treatments is even an argument for it I think.

This should be an interesting one with two teams playing above, even way above, what was expected of them before the season started.

Jack Hughes, Bratt, and Hischer are all crazy skilled and exciting to watch, doesn't hurt them to have a healthy Dougie Hamilton and good team defensive play so far as well. I saw a stat at the end of October that NJ was at the #1 spot for expected goals against at that point.

I'm looking forward to this one! Hoping the Suzuki/Caufield/Dach line keeps rolling! 🤘

Do Devils play same boring as style as alwyas? or since they are "better" they actually play a different brand of hockey. NJ was always "I don't care if I don't watch that game" type game... we'll see...

Is Slaf in?

Devils are 5th in GA/game and 6th in GF/game. No idea how they are doing this.

Both of these teams are near the bottom in hits/60. Devils are 30th and the Habs are 31st.

Devils are 3rd and Habs are 12th in faceoffs.

This is going to be a interesting one to watch. Fight for puck possession

Should be a fun fast game to watch.
Loving the fact that we can now be entertained again......if helps that we do not have much for expectations, but we are exceeding them most nights this season....

I was at the game Saturday night against the Pens. First game since Covid. Had a blast!

Fun tidbit about the boring Devils of yesteryear: the 2000-2001 version that lost in 7 to the Avalanche put up 295 goals in the regular season. The 11th most productive offense since 1996-1997 when goalscoring dried up.
