No sugar coating for this loss. Reminded me of last 2 games in their playoff series against the Avs.

At some point during that elimination game they showed a close up of Chychrun, who was on the ice at the time for another goal against. He looked absolutely shell shocked. I've had that facial expression stuck in my head since lol. He just looked like he was in awe of the Avs, puzzled with disbelief, and burnt out all at once.

I figured it's a good time to remind us of this public service announcement....

Infrastructure updates are in progress that are degrading on-ice performance. We expect this work to be completed within the next couple years. This affects the Arizona Coyotes entire organization and fanbase. This is a separate issue from the NHL Draft Lottery negative bias.

Update 11/14/2021....If you are struggling during these updates, please reach out to your employers HR department to see if they offer the counseling program "Coping with the Coyotes"

Is "couple years" written in the context of 2 more weeks?? There is a lot of rebuilding needed

Not hard to put a competitive team on the ice if you try. BA intentionally didn't try. And regarding FAs, if the draft goes as well as we hope next year then FAs will see what's happening and some will want to come.

i hope we don’t see a single player we draft next year on this team right away.

Yes, this includes Wright

Wonder if his contract is insured. Could go either way at that dollar value.

Maybe teams should have to carry liability insurance when their players earn supplemental discipline from plays that put players out

Ok, but he could have tried to avoid the knee on knee. He was attempting to hit Jaskin, not the other way around.
If Jaskin was on the Blackhawks I'd bet there would supplemtal discipline. What a joke.

Dude straight up ends a players season with an illegal hit and gets nothing for it. Would be hilarious except poor Jaskin didn't deserve that.

The draft doesn't mean squat to the players. It's all about $$, the organization and the on ice product. We can give them $$ and that's about it. Maybe if the draft goes good and we start winning, then players and agents will start to give us a look.

Signing a UFA is about money, you pay the most you sign them, you don't pay the most, they sign elsewhere. I doubt next year that we pay big money for a name brand UFA, it's too early. I think it will be more filler type players.

If we have a cup contender 3 years from now it will be worth it and a distant memory. If we're still, you know, the Coyotes, it will just be another in a long history of getting kicked in the nuts.
We will not have a cup contender in three years, no way. A playoff contender maybe. This team has Chych and Keller to build on as the team sits today. Most the players we draft this year still won't be in the NHL in three years.

Any UFA worth their salt looks at more than money, most times, but any over the hill UFA looks at the $$$, and that's who we attract at the moment. I agree, we will sign more filler type players.
