I must admit I thought it was more talent left than we have seen so far.

I guess the equivalent would be sending Hayton down, and trading Keller, Crouse, and Chychrun. If they did that, it wouldn’t matter what happened at all. That leaves Tourigny getting ruined by this, though.

The mistake made so far is not giving Tourigny the equivalent of Capo/Dineen/Mayo up front. Most of the forwards are paid or at the end of their careers. The only guys really trying are the ones inbetween. They need more of that. Tourigny has nobody to teach.

My fear is that he made so little effort to ice a competitive team that they change the rules again to f*** us worse, like take away our 1st rounder for trying to lose or some shit.

They really can't do that. But what I think the NHL should do, and that is general, is to just have a lottery for the top 24 first-rounders among the teams who didn't manage to win a round in the playoffs. But that's just me of course.

I don’t remember who proposed it, but I liked the surrender idea - at some point in the season you can declare yourself ineligible for the playoffs. Then among the teams voluntarily out the team with the best winning percentage picks first.

I saw an idea a guy came up with on Twitter years ago. The team with the most points after getting mathematically eliminated from reaching the playoffs gets the 1st pick, team with the 2nd most gets the 2nd pick, and so on. Granted, teams could still tank to be eliminated earlier, but they'd need to try and win to get high picks. It's a brilliant and perfectly executable idea for the NHL and NBA, which is probably why neither will ever try it.

They aren't even good enough to be a trap opponent right now. The effort isn't there and they can't move the puck up the ice. It's just a tune up for the other team.

We would finish last in that group.

I am amazed that no adjustments are made and we continuously look like a bad CHL team… we are making the wrong end of the highlight reel night in and night out..

Bill T seems like a nice guy but I want Torts… these guys are getting NHL salaries there is no excuse.

Losing is one thing.. this is something else
