He's looked really bad this year.

I'm so puzzled how you can conclude that. I see a pretty good offensive player out there. Happens to have the highest scoring rate on the team.

Hartnell - Sedlak - Gagner get their minutes cut when the team is holding the lead. And the team has been leading almost every game.

It speaks really well of Calvert - Karlsson - Anderson (a rookie, a vet, and a second year NHLer) that they play extra in defensive situations.

What a refreshing change from this time last season, huh? :)

I could only imagine how inspirational it was to be in the arena and see Matty Ice not only return to the ice but to also score the GWG (shorthanded, no less).

Damn, what a night.. Ended up in the Nationwide lux box... and boy do I have headache this morning! :D

Overall, had the making of a classic Rangers win -- but again this team found a way to win a game that they would have lost last year. What a great week thus far, but I'd still LOVE to grab another 2 points tomorrow in Washington. Going to be tough.

**One thing I do want to mention I was disappointed with all the open seats, people need to make it to these games .. this team deserves it. Didn't think there would be nearly as many as there was for a Friday night game against a good Rangers team.

They keep playing like this, you won't be able to get a ticket after Christmas.

My only complaint is that I was so wrong about thinking Bjorkstrand was going to be ready for a top 6 role. But that's on him, because he clearly wasn't.

That's one of the cool things about this team. Jenner and Dubinsky have not gotten hot yet and Bjorkstrand can be called up later in the year if we need him. I'm also surprised the defense is playing as well as it has without Seth Jones (missing him).

nice of Max to come by and offer congrats...if only all NYR fans were like him...

Yeah, actually that is why I came.......nice win for your guys. We didn't play especially well, but that doesn't take anything away from what your team accomplished. A good win, and now after a succesful 3-1 road trip, we have to regroup. I still think your team has a good shot of surpassing one of Capitals or Penguins. Just have to beat the teams you SHOULD and make sure you beat THEM and not US......so much. lol.

oh and good for Calvert. I've always liked him, reminds me of some of our past Ranger warriors that never got enough credit for what they bring. Hope he's okay. That damned Holden must have thought his teeth were the net and ruined a really good shift!

Your quite welcome. You guys deserved the kind words. Seriously, I'm not even really all that upset about the loss. I was alot more pissed off when we lost to Vancouver at home around 10 days ago. That team was an inferior team and we just let them hang around. Losing to you guys in your barn is nothing at all to be ashamed of. Heck you guys might be the hottest team in the league other than us. And alot of your wins are not just wins but in fact quality wins. Beating us, the Blue, the Caps, Anaheim twice, blowing out the Habs(oh man did I love that), Bruins, Black Hawks and the defending Cup champs the Pens...that my friend is ridiculously impressive. It might even be more impressive than our wins come to think of it.

And yes, I do think we have the makings of a nice little rivalry for sure. Trust me, you guys keep winning hockey games like this and you start to get more solidly in playoff position, I guarantee our game with one another will be that much more intense and the fan bases will obviously follow suit.

One thing tho and I may be a tad more accommodating than some of my Ranger brethren. I love it that I can come to another teams board as I am with y'all and talk hockey and I welcome that on our board as well. Some boards like the Capitals boards, you simply can't go there. They just are too insecure and before you know it they want you gone. I'm of the belief long as we show respect for one another and aren't obviously trolling...why not..right? We all love hockey and have a passion for our teams so why not talk hockey with our opposition. Anyways, appreciate the welcome here and once again good luck going forward except against us....lol...cheers

Wow, I respectfully sought out your excerpts and I have those same sentiments. I actually PREFER talking to opponents fans, as long as they're opinions don't try and "punch out" my sentiments and feelings about MY team.

I feel you get a better perspective from opponents fans and what THEY FEEL about their team. (believe me, i can figure out who is knowledgeable and who just goes rah, rah!)

So, i hope I'm welcome here as well. And, continued success!

Btw, I miss Duby although I've heard through the Rangers grapevine that he was quite the "A" hole. Not so much Torts.............has he calmed down a bit? Way too arrogant here.

What a game and what a win!!! We are legit. We are a competitive team!!
All these years of throwing away my money on season tickets and finally, FINALLY, I have a team of which I can be proud. Wow !!!

Good for YOU! Seriously! I wish I could afford that, then again, I'm living in Florida, a lifelong Rangers fan......lol, I can barely afford to go to those 2 games. lmao.

Not sure if anyone has said this but that was Torts first regular season win against the NYR since he left. He was 0-2 with Vancouver and 0-2 last year. Perhaps why he was a little more happy than normal.

We have now beat the current top 4 teams in the NHL this season by a combined margin of 19-5.

Oh, okay......so we did well only losing 4-2. lol.

BTW, I watched that ENTIRE drubbing and was left with.....

Torts has had a lot of therapy.

In Columbus Dubi is just an "A" captain. He is an A-hole too sometimes but he has a role to play here in pushing guys. Sort of good cop bad cop with Foligno.
