Just so you know, our D is likely:

McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-Skjei
Holden-Klein

Obviously, we'll see what official reports say, but that's what we rolled with last game.

Rangers are a scoring machine right now. Going to need to figure out a way to shut that juggernaut down.

And Bob will need to be on top of his game.

I was astonished at the Rangers offense and the names that are putting up the goals for them. Not exactly household names. This one will be a big challenge. I am worried that Harrington is just not up to it.

Hey guys...... Enjoy the game tonight, think it's gonna be a great one! Probably gonna be our first O. T. game this year.

Off topic........ I met that kid Werenski's Mom at the draft here in Florida. She was so nice and excited for her son. (of course) I told her that her son is gonna LOVE that team, as they will soon be a really good team, and she seemed genuinely happy (and surprised) with what I had said.

Really? Nash, McDonagh, Girardi, Klein, Staal, Zuccharello, Stepan, Grabner, Zidanejad, Lundqvist those names don't ring a bell?

Vesey with all the hype?

Kreider and his run ins with goaltenders? Specifically Price?

I definitely can understand about Buchenivch (u will soon, but not tonight) and Skjei.

But even Miller, Hayes, Fast and Pirri have been in the league a few years.

If you follow your Jackets.......... These Rangers eventually will become familiar, as I'm thinking an additional rivalry is coming real soon. I like your team. (and even Torts) lol.

"Household" names around Columbus would be Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin, Price, Weber, Subban ...with Nash and Lundquist on that list. Not that the others you list aren't good players, just not known here in the midwest. Only 2 or 3 household names per team!

Seriously, part of Columbus' lack of familiarity with NYR right now may be that CBJ have played only one divisional game this season, so no focus on division teams yet. In addition, CBJ was so out of the race the past 2 years that other than the hype from national media (which seams focused on PITT, WASH and MONT in the East), we haven't had reason to pay attention. Shoot, when looking at the posted lines in the OP, it took me a second to realize that Brassard is no longer a Ranger!!!

Agree, good game expected. 5-4 CBJ in OT.

And NYR GPG average goes down .01 -- that is absurd btw!

I mean, your teams pretty much been lundquist dragging you guys to a second round loss, with few exceptions, so other than the big market effect, there's really no compelling reason to pay attention.

I only pay attention to the good teams, with the jackets being the only exception.

And yeah it is absurd! You would think we're in the 80's........or was it the 90's? Lol.

We are pumping in goals at a very consistent rate. Havent been shutout (oops!), 1 goal ONCE!

We've scored 4 goals twice, 5 goals 6x, 6 goals once and 7 goals 2x.

That's 11 out of 17 games with 4 or more! I'm a happy Rangers fan, enjoy game!

I'd say I'm probably one of the few who have NHL Gamecenter, etc.. Have the Rangers even been on NHL Network that much this year thus far?

I watch all teams, lol - but a lot on here are busy enough just finding time for CBJ games.

IMO, you just might want to watch a few then........VERY entertaining and ANY good hockey fan should enjoy watching them (even if rooting against them), lots of tic tac toes and excellent passing in general (most of the time)

Kind of like how i was watching lots of BlackHawk and Kings games in past.....u know, to watch how it "should be done".

I think twice, and a few on NBCSN, with their horrific Milbury et al. Jones i kind of like.

Final score will be 7-5. I can't even guess which team gets which number.

Honestly, I see tonight being another low scoring game (like the Capitals game earlier in the week) .. defensive struggle.

Rangers are ranked in the top 5 on the power play.. think the key for both teams is staying out of the damn box.

I'll go 2-1 CBJ (OT) ... just like Tuesday, just hopefully a little more cohesive style of play - LOL.

It does not tell anything if you only display the outcome. In that matter these are both teams not understood at all from what I can gather.

The Leading One established a good example of this. During the latest SM-liiga final series Urheilulehti titled HIFK's 2-1 lead in games won jubilation as "Orgies of the blind". The play had shown HIFK's Antti Törmänen's two face lätkä's immediate future failure which now in the long-term has also materialized in its current downfall.
