This team was 4-2-1 to start this season with Thomas and Broberg both in the lineup. Any team that loses its best center and best defensemen will face adversity. Obviously last game there was an issue with effort, but this team has also demonstrated resilience at times too. Army has laid out a pretty rough timeline when he expects this team to become more competitive once the younger players can start "pulling on the rope." It's not really possible to say exactly when that will happen, but based on the media interviews with Holloway, that may be either next season or the one after. I didn't expect the Blues to be contenders this season, but next season, we may very well see Snuggerud, Dvorsky, Bolduc, and Dean in the lineup with Lindstein and Stenberg starting in the AHL. Many of us, including myself, just wanted one thing growing up and that was a stanley cup. Before game 7, I told my buddy that if the Blues won that game, I could handle mediocrity for at least another 15 years, and I'm sticking to my word.
