I mean it looked like he may have kinda closed his hand on the puck a little...
Pretty ****ing weak rule/call. That move is not worth 2 min.

It's the spin move, he changed the direction on the ice from where he caught it to where he dropped it. It's a pretty easy call to make.

That being said, the refs missed a penalty on Phoenix for a high hit on the same shift.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......

If the call is closing the hand... **** a spin. I mean I get what your saying but write your damn rule better.... Players should and will play to the rulebook. Also why I'm not gonna ***** too much, because he did look to move the thumb in a bit to control it more then he would with an open palm...

But overall, I think that is an acceptable level of handling the puck. I don't want players to straight take hold of the puck and throw it out in front of them... **** I dunno something in between the rule as is, and basketballs traveling? lol.
 
Kings looked frustrated and deflated at the end of the 2nd. But 2-2 with basically nothing going right so just win the third
 
To be clear I'm not mad about the Martinez call. It's iffy but whatever. More mad they missed a series of bad hits by the yotes before that.

but we can't afford losing to these teams IF we're a playoff team

i don't care if it's early, the points tally until the end

if we come out with 0/4pts out of 2 games vs Arizona it's a bad situation

But that's the thing. In this league bad hits are missed all the time, unless a player goes in awkward and gets hurt. While ticky tack stuff gets called on what seems like a random basis

People are overly critical of refs. Bad calls are for sure made, but refffing is HARD also. Its a fast ****ing game.

And really on top of that... The rules are there.
You can definitely get away with things.. But I know the rules pretty well, and if your making millions you damn well better.
Push them if you want, I don't blame you... But if you break a rule and don't get away with it... Well, don't break the ****ing rule, or shut the **** up and take your punishment.
I understand it would be nice to see more consistent calls, but failing that, just because you got away with one does not mean you didn't break the rules, and doesn't mean its safe to do so. You can test it if you want, but play with fire...
