One of the Kings players skated back to the bench after the too many men, allowing for that 2 on 1. If you've already messed up you might as well stay out there to prevent the chance.

edit: the puck hit a King creating the outnumbered attack, still it wasn't like he was playing the puck, just a lucky bounce.

Muzzin was within 5 feet, but Forbort, who he was changing for, wasn't close. I thought it was a penalty. Lucky refs blew down the 2 on 1.
