When people contend that Price is the best player in the league...I have no argument. And you know me I love to argue just for the sake of arguing.

It's not a luxury when they're eating up top 6 minutes with no positive results or even flashes of positivity. It's not a matter of Mersch being our savior. It's about trying something different and someone who will at the very least be hungry to prove himself.

Doughty just flat out sucks at getting shots through. Hey Sutter, pulling the goalie with a man adv never crossed your mind?
 
Meh, normal goalie and some of those shots are in the back of the net.
When you play against a goalie who wears an S on his chest, pretty tough row to hoe.

:laugh: Implying the Habs wouldn't be just taking pot shots from their own end without worrying about icing. Kings have done nothing but give up goals when pulling the goalie for the extra man. Why do it when you're trying to get back into the game with a power play?

Take your Patrick Roy nonsense and go.

I can't imagine Sutter likes Purcell, so if Mersch can't even beat him out...

Purcell and King are playing for contracts. Mersch has how many ES strength goals in the AHL? One. A couple PP goals though. So do Hensick, Auger, and Bjorkstrand. Why not call for them? Bjorkstrand has 2 goals in 3 games.

Your two goals down against the best goalie in the world. You pull the goalie because it is very hard in 4-6 to just take pot shots at the empty goal, you have to get the puck first. Kings did nothing on that pp, absolutely nothing. Get it yet?

You call up mersch because as dean said hes paid his dues in the ahl and has nothing left to do there. Hes ready to sink or swim in the nhl They other s you refer to havn't There is a order to call ups
