Schmidt on the penalty kill with DeMelo in the box. Is the reluctance to use Morrissey on the kill an attempt to manage his time on ice?

Might be to preserve his health more than limiting his ice time. Shooting gallery PK will eventually force him to block a shot and that's a crapshoot for injuries. I think his value offensively probably outweighs his impact on the PK so you probably want to keep him upright but
