People are on the complain about Lindback train again? He played pretty well tonight, not his fault the defense is horrid giving up grade A chances.

Are you kidding me? Did you even watch the game? He has the worst rebound control. How many times did he give up a big rebound then just lay there tonight? He only faced like 11 shots through 2 periods. Maybe it was a few more than 11, but it was a paltry amount.

Are you serious? What goalie turns his back on a play? Watch the goals again. He should have had at least 2 of them.

The entire team is trash but the goals Lindback gave up were savable. He's trash and held the puck on a save maybe 2 times tonight. Rebound rebound rebound.

7 in a row. The most talent we've had on this team up front in years and the team as a whole playing collectively like crap. Massive changes need to be made.

Forward has to step their **** up. Its always either Seguin, Benn, or Spezza thats on the scoring sheet, whether they are on the same line or not. When the other guys score, it's already too late.

Defense needs MASSIVE upgrade. Some guys just doesn't belong in this league...I wasn't really into this whole "trade for a defensemen" talk, but now I'm 100% convinced. I don't mind ANY defensemen leaving other than Daley, and maybe Goligoski (in the sense that his value is pretty high compared to the rest).

For goaltending...Kari is doing fine. Lindback can't even be described as a "joke"...thats how bad he is.

You do realize he leads the team in +/- even though he barely plays right?

That means nothing. He's a sheltered bottom pairing D. Its the Fistric argument all over again.

For the record I think he played well tonight and should stay in over Jordie.

He is a bottom pairing D, I'm not disagreeing on that (I said exactly that in the Texas Stars thread tonight). Jordie is an AHL D. He doesn't belong in the NHL.

Everything you guys are suggesting we do is going to lead to the same results. The team as a whole just cannot play 60 minutes. Flat out. You can't blow up everything mid-season, and we have no real answers in Cedar Park. Nill and Ruff have some hard questions to ask themselves. We have too many assets and are in too good of a position money wise for the next few years to sit ideally and slowly swap players out waiting for a fit. Defense needs an overhaul.

It's amazing that we can't play a full 60 minutes. What is wrong here? Conditioning? I don't know what else it could be.

1st Goal - Unlucky rebound bounce the San Jose.. would he like to have it back? Probably.. but that goal happens in hockey. That isn't bad goaltending.

2nd Goal - Defense commit THREE players on one half of the ice (TERRIBLE) and leave Pavelski of all people wide open in the middle of the ice for a shot that Lindback saves. Daley doesn't tie up Marleau who barely sneaks it in.

3rd Goal - Seguin is crying on the ice while a two on one goes the other way, no goalie is stopping that shot. Jordie doesn't commit to taking away the pass or the shot and plays nothing.. poor two on one defending.

4th Goal - Connauton.

I agree but that very may well mean trading the player in your avatar in order to accomplish it? You ready for that?

Sure thing. There's nothing Jordie does that's NHL caliber.

He is. He's an NHL caliber defensemen in the role he's playing. But if he played 15 minutes a night, with second unit penalty kill, instead of ~20 minutes a game, he'd be completely fine. When Jordie plays that amount of time, he's absolutely fine. He's pretty decent at passing, and he's got good positioning. Yeah he's soft as butter, weak on the puck and prone to stupid penalties, but so are other bottom pairing defensemen.

K Conn literally isn't good at anything. He's OK at some things, bad at others, and downright horrible at the rest. Jordie may be weak on the puck but K Conn is much worse.

K Conn leads the team in plus minus because he never plays, not because he's any good.
