For a backup, .910 is most definitely excellent.

I don't think so. Backups play in the easier game. A backup's save percentage should rival the starters. Backups are backups because they don't have the endurance/consistency to be great most of the time. A backup should have a serviceable game the majority of the time at the very least.

They won more games than the lost, not really sure what else you want from a good backup. Raycroft played like a starter when Kari was injured even. Their second years each were terrible, but they still had one good year each, that's the last time we had a good backup.

2 and 3 games for Bachman and Raycroft respectively. They were OK, they weren't good. What we had in Mike Smith was a good backup.
