Playing the wild more than isles and devs at this point is insane. The NHL has murdered our sick rivalries. Beyond lame.

You don't think Brian Propp, Brian Bellows and Mark Tinordi are serious rivals? You don't want to stop them from having expected big time games?

Is it not as bad as the memes say or are the memes just outdated? 10 years ago it was absolutely true.
pretty much changed only once Lebron stopped being far and away the best player in the NBA. because he was in the finals for like a decade straight, and the other team was just more likely to be a top seed.

Big question tonight: will the geezer who always gets to stand next to where the Rangers enter and exit the ice while wearing our backup goalie's jersey, will he be wearing a Garand jersey tonight?

Yeah, we have the top guy, but NJ has 4 of the top 15. Where's Mika and all the "offensively talented players"? Not complaining, just wondering. I'd like us to be scoring a bit more, but our team defense has been pretty incredible and yeah, that includes goaltending.
They’ll comeback to norm to counter our combined 120 PP+PK%.

Domingue is in tonight.

On that note, does anyone out there have a solid theory why we see so fewer right-catching goalies nowadays?

Obviously in baseball there's the notion that left-handed hitters are physically closer to first base, giving them a slight edge for singles. Is there any such theory for NHL goalies? Most NHL players shoot left, but the angles are from all over the ice surface.
Most people are right handed, therefor throwing right handed and catching lefthanded. So that’s what goalies do. I’ve seen guys (not high level) needing to turn the stick around to shoot righty.

They are relevant statistics. You just don't add them that way to get a third relevant statistic. See my previous post on what would be a third relevant statistic.
Like in baseball? OBP+Slg = OPS
