We are just not playing smart structured hockey. So, we're not causing enough turnovers, no odd man rushes. We're giving up too much space. We need more from our top 6, just in terms of smarts and structure. Getting pucks deep, working hard. Just simplify the game. Play smart, play structured, play hard. Bad line changes, not getting pucks in deep, not backchecking, floating, two defensemen pinching at the same time when we don't even have the puck. It's not exactly pond hockey, but it's just getting worse. Not better. Gallant and his staff need to realize it's not just about effort and skating but playing within a structure, having situational awareness, puck management, not puck watching on D or for that matter the PK which has been especially bad too. This team looks like any number of Rangers teams from over the years that just look like they're happy to score pretty goals and collect paychecks. It's seriously disheartening. you'd expect this kind of thing from a young team. But the biggest mistakes i'm seeing is coming from Kreider, Goody, Panarin, Trouba. And it's shocking. Troubs, Goody and Kreids are good players but they look a lot better on a team that plays with high structure. They of all players should know this is not going to work.that Kakko chance on the broken play, thats about it. We have no clue how to generate offense when all 5 are in the O-zone.
