if Anyone gets called up will be Vey.

He has the most complete game, and is the most seasoned.

Also the Monarchs points leader.

Vey can also play all three Forward positions.

The first line isn't cutting it at even strength. For all the crap Richards gets, Kopitar and Brown deserve much more.

Something is up with Brown. His scoring has always been streaky, but so far this year his hitting is way below usual.

The problem with that is that he's also a center. If they do call him up, they could bump Lewis and/or King out of the lineup, have Vey or Stoll as the 3rd/4th line Cs.

A shooter who can put the puck on net (Toffoli) and a winger who can make plays (Pearson) is what the Kings could use. However, we may have to wait till next season to see them. Thankfully there will be positions available for them when Penner and Gagne depart as free agents.

Vey can play all three Forward positions, Very effective as a Winger.

Matter of Fact, Vey struggled to play Center last year. So Morris played him at wing to get him going.

He scored 9 points in the like the next 5 games.

Moved him back to Center, been almost a PPG player since.

Vey was drafted as a Winger. The Kings have made him into a Center.

Bring Gagne up with Richie/Carts and leave them together. Gags is playing with energy and Richards is up to speed while Carter has been there all along.

That has always been Streaky as well. People have selective memory with Brown.

You guys expect him to be consistent every year, when the guy never has been.

Brown always has two to three months in a 82 game season, were he hits everything, every puck goes in.

He has always been like that.

Dwight king and Lewis need to be gone.

Move them both for a Veteran Defender.

Just be ok with yourself, when Lewis turns into a 30-40 point player, King a 20G scorer.

Lewis has no excuse. We could afford to have him in that role if we also didn't have Stoll who is basically the same, but with some actual scoring touch. King on the other hand... still a rookie. Absolutely no reason to move him.

I am, however, fully on board Team "trade Penner and Gagne for anything." I like both guys, but you just can't afford to pay 6 million for two guys that have zero goals combined past the 1/4 season mark.

That's good, and then put Toffoli and vey as replacements. Makes us much better.

Does Pennercakes have lead feet or is he just that out of shape?

The dude looks is like trying to skate through a swamp...

but I guess this is the least of The Kings problems this year.

He's always been slow, it's just easier to notice when he's not scoring. The guy has no place here.

Linden Vey was actually a RW. That's his position on Fantrax too. He would be like a Justin Williams type of player.

Been saying for a while now.

Penner's career is over, the guy has nothing left to play for.

He is being payed 3m to hang out with friends, Two cups already.

He never seemed that upset he was sitting in the press box.

If Richards is back-up on the 2nd, we are basically rolling two 4th lines. We have to make a trade, or bring-up a kid from Manchester immediately

This ^^^

Id like to see a move made. Cluttberbuck interests me to add to the bottom 6. Also can we find a guy to play Greene's roll. Tired of Drewiskie. We got rid of Harrold but havent been able to shake Davis. Jake can be our 7th guy.

How close is Pearson?

Not close, Another year for him in the AHL.

Guys the Monarchs have a lot of losses for a reason....Part of that (big part) is due to the younger forwards on the team.

Think about that.

I know the players and a lot of people will harp on about how this game, despite the loss is a "moral victory". That may be true, but it's starting to get to a point in this shortened season where a "moral victory" is just not going to cut it anymore. I agree with those who say that this team needs a shake-up. Perhaps a trade for a veteran D-man might do it. Perhaps a call-up as well. I just can't take this team's inability to play a whole 60 minutes anymore.

Also, what is up with Quickie being so shaky? Every time someone shoots and the puck goes behind the net, he always turns his front to net; I don't understand why. I know you're supposed to be aware of where and who has the puck behind the net, but that habit makes me nervous in case of the puck bouncing off the wall and him being out of position which leads to an easy goal as we saw twice in Colorado.

I like King, but he as been invisible this season, i hardly ever notice him on the ice, other than when he is making a mistake, and that is not a good thing. Like Lewis as well, but he has to start scoring, he has been given more than enough time to get some offensive touch to his game, it's just not happening. We may have to move these two sooner than later if we want to get some scoring happening on our bottom lines this year.

Ok, so if our AHL guys are likely best suited to come up next year, why can we move some combination of guys like Penner, King, Nolam, Lewis, Drewiskie, prospects, picks, and get something that works?
