That pass from Joey was perrrrrty. STUPID but peerrrrty. I mean really he was just trying to put the puck on front of the net, it just happened to sneak all the way to a wide open Murray.

Canucks fan just passing by to say that your team is so fun to watch when they're playing like this. Hartnell is such a beaut as well. Seems like he's doing something great on every shift. Johansen a sick pass on the Murray goal too.

There's tons to like about your team guys. They just need to get out of that funk they were in to start the season. I think Torts will help with that. He seems to fit your team like a glove.

Sure wish management could get a do over , Boone has been a force and a leader this whole season . While Foligno has been invisible aside from that terrible turnover in period 2

This is Torts opportunity to bring in Foligno and say

"listen here Mr 5.5 million dollar captain, we would be up 4-1 if it wasn't for your BS, now get out and do your damn job and make sure we hold this lead. Enough of the **** ups"

I dont know what magic Torts worked with this team, but I like it!

Just jumping in here from Ottawa. I haven't had a chance to really watch Columbus this year.....is Torts really making a difference with you guys? I thought you guys were great the past few seasons as the hard-working lunchbox crew...what changed at the beginning of this season to change that? Or was the first few games something completely off the wall that messed up the team?

Go watch this goal on nhl.com (taken from the SJS feed). I would LOVE to know what Torts was saying when the camera was on him after the goal. It looked like he was ready to blow a gasket and he sadi something that I'm guessing is not repeatable in a family forum. We need a lip reader here, pronto!

Fell asleep so I missed the first period and tuned in just before the Hartnell goal. Looks like Torts worked on the offense and overall we look pretty good.

If games continue to be this fun to watch, then I'll happily tune in regardless of the standings, but hopefully we continue to play like this and sneak into the play offs.

Pretty safe guess that one of the words rhymes with puck ;)

I wrote at length about this in another thread, but to simplify it, I think he came in and grounded our defense. We've only been giving up 2-3 goals a game since he took over, which was one of the main problems we had -- giving up 5 goals a game before he took over.

I think now he's implementing an actual system, so while we weren't giving up goals, we really weren't scoring them or getting many chances. It's going to be a slow process to make his implementations coming in during the season, but I think the overall board reaction after he started has been quite positive, despite many of us being apprehensive about the hire.

The guys decided the didnt want to hit and forecheck and decided to be the pretty Euro-style hockey team. That, and Bobrovsky crapped the bed. And one more thing, Dalton Prout - who is a healthy scratch tonight.

"That was some bad luck." ?

"What did i Get myself into, this team just has to suck?"

"I can't wait to get home and binge-watch 'Nip Tuck'"?

"I made a bet that would happen and now I just made a buck" ?

They went 15-1-1 to finish the season and scored tons of pretty goals in the preseason (and won) so they thought they were the Harlem globetrotters. Read too much press clippings, and when the going got tough they folded like a tent.

Playoffs? PLAYOFFS??? Let's try to simply win a game before we start with the playoff talk. :sarcasm:

Thanks for the feedback.

Sounds like (knock on wood) he's going to be a good hire for the team. Great to see the Jackets do well.
