Bob lost us this game. No one else.

It took the 59th minute to score the second goal by pulling our goal tender. Yeah, Bob had a rough night but you aren't going to win many games only scoring one goal.

Trust me, there was far more wrong than Bob this game.

I don't care that Hartnell got the score close. This wasn't a close game at all.

I like how Hartnell plays the same no matter what the hell is going on around him on or off the ice. His game ebbs and flows but it doesn't seem to be splattered with the crap that is CBJ "hockey."

This team is completely in disarray. Terrible goal tending from our 7.4 mill goalie;no cohesive offense; continuously out shot; and a D corp that is at least 2 bricks short of a full load and a forecheck that is almost completely MIA. Not to mention a new coach who I assume is trying to install some changes. And a potential superstar center who seems to have some sort of an ongoing issue. Did I miss anything? 2-10. Not even the most positive can spin this as anything other than the disaster it is.

Edit: Here are 2 things I missed:

A power play that is becoming more inept by the game and a lousy PK.

There that should complete the analysis.

The problem just about every player anyone would want are the young guys with cheap contracts. The guys who aren't producing have long term high dollar contracts. Who wants them?

I get that. I'm just saying so maybe we do move a young guy on offense, for a guy maybe young on defense. I mean it's nice keeping all our young prospects but it doesn't help them if all they learn how to do is lose. We need a REAL leader. Just my two cents

The answer? There is no singular answer. If this continues we are going to have to do some house cleaning (players).

Personally I think JK has let some players go over the last couple of seasons in that he probably underestimated their contributions. Not saying we'd be a lot better, but I'd say Letestu is an upgrade over the guy we have in there now as an example.

But hey we signed a very streaky goal tender to that big contract. If Bob continues like this we're screwed.

Yep. The offense was as flaccid as grandpa in a snowstorm. I don't trust you. I think you have shifty eyes and an evil chuckle.*

Anyone in management willing to admit they completely screwed up putting this team together?

Anyone in management ready to admit they owe the season ticket holders a full refund for this failed product?

Who should be the next to go?

A captain that looks shell shocked, snake bit, and desperate when he isn't invisible.

I didn't see the whole game but in the parts I watched the team looked awful. Just bad plays with the puck all over the ice. The Jets are a very good team so there's no shame in losing to them. But the way the team played is not right at all.

The team looks mentally shattered. I would give them a couple days without practice and just have them watch video of themselves actually playing well. They need to remember what it's like and see the things they were doing right.

I'd also say playing with the boo-birds in Columbus doesn't help. There's never been a better time for a California trip.

12,860 on a Saturday night. Yikes.

I've had season tickets since 2000 and make it to about 35 games a year. Never left at the end of the first...until tonight. I'm sick of it. I can buy on Stubhub for a fraction of the price. Assuming the Jackets last much longer in Columbus after this endless cycle of suck.

The parts you missed weren't any better.

I agree they appear mentally beat with a few exceptions. Watching the games from the end of last season couldn't hurt except for the parts where Letestu does good.

And at least Anaheim and SJ appear to be as sucky so you're right - no better time for a California trip.

Imagine how the taxpayers must feel about their leasing agreement with the City that's subsidized by that magical Casino money.

You ever think about becoming a statistician?

Pure brilliance.

Nah, I'm a civil engineer, but thanks! I should do a research with a hypothesis: 'Ryan Johansen makes Columbus Blue Jackets lose hockey games'. Just need the sampling to get a bit larger.

Just to be more cheerful:laugh:

Assuming that the Jackets need at least 94 points to make the playoffs, then they'll need at least 90 points in their remaining 70 games. That's a .643 clip.

Turn out the lights on 2015-16. October 31st. Unreal.

As a taxpayer, I can say that I don't care. Glad we get to start this up again. So much of my tax money over the years has went to so many things I couldn't give a crap about, it's nice to see some of it go to something that I do care about.

5.5 million actual money

+ Tyutin 5.0 and Bork 2.5

19.27 % of Jackets' cap hit is sitting in the press box

While I want to talk a lil **** about "real" dollars or the "internal cap", there's really nothing funny about 1/5 of our/their money to be sitting. Wiz and Horton deserve some angst. Along with Howson and the dynamic duo. But lets blame Boll, that's easier.

I want to see our first line show up tonight and do what we all thought they could do.

Well, did they? Our top center did. And I'm being literal not sarcastic.

Welcome back, Saad. You were sorely missed.

Oh right. GOAL!! HELL YEAH SAAD!! He sure "buried" the biscuit eh?!?! I know a 6'4 Russian who can do that, along with pass, kill penalties, win faceoffs, and create offense on his own. :shakehead

Lost in this terrible season, Dubinsky's looked really good.

He always has. CBJ MVP the whole time. Not Foligno, Not Jojo, Not Wiz. If he were to be traded you guys might never have to listen to me again.

Yeah, this alone justifies the firing of Todd Richards.

What does this even mean, really?

Starting Bob was a mistake.

1 for 2. I really think Mac should get an extended look. I'm talking AT LEAST 2 starts in a row.

Oh, and watching the Hockey Night In Canada Jets feed is like a breath of fresh air compared to Rimer and the FSO feed. So much more refreshing.

Yeah. Not sure what Jeff was talking about there. It's always 4.

Yeah the people who think Rimer "isn't that bad" need to watch other broadcasts more often. Rimer makes games unenjoyable to listen to, CBJ up or down 3-0.

We are finished tonight, I should leave and go to the bar now but I'm a glutten for punishment so I'll sit here and watch them get their teeth kicked in for 2 more hours

And here we are. There's still time though.

Jackets have no PP QB. Had a damn good one last season and they traded him away so they can trot out this ****ing garbage

Lets not start this BS. He's about as much the answer as Saad is. All he could do was shoot. We have trouble even getting set up. Savard and Murray are better PP "QB's" than Wiz. We need to attack the net from down low. Its a 5 man problem.

Please tell me how not one player had the idea to dump the puck in on the powerplay. Literally 3/4 of the pkers are on a dead standstill on the Blue line while the entire jackets team is coming full speed but they stop because they're waiting for the puck carrier to cross the line. If they'd just dump the puck in they'd have 4 guys entering the zone full speed blowing by the entire PK.

That easy eh? The problem is we have essentially 2 guys who play PP that actually forecheck, or do it successfully. You can take a guess who they are.

All seriousness, what's the answer. Deal a big piece for a puck moving Dman???

i've been calling for that for a while....but i get shot down

Who? And for what?

That's why it gets "shot down". Johansen fo///STOP RIGHT THERE, BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER....

Good things from tonight's game:
- McElhinney played well and should get the start next game.
- It was fun watching the Jets. They play loose.
