To me it goes beyond effort. Sure they don't quit, that's admirable, but it's the little errors that drive everyone crazy. There is a little bit of panic in our own end, sloppy passing, etc. that is frustrating. Saw it in person Sunday against Anaheim. You can always tell how this team will play based on their play in their own zone.

Turnovers happen to every team all the time. The Penguins have turned it over more than us tonight. Our puck control has actually never been better.

I get that. Wins will bring confidence, and I hope better decision making. Panic aint pretty. I'd love skill. I HATE "QUIT". Bouts of panic and desperation are tough to watch, but better than the prevous hang-dog attitude.

It won't happen overnight, but I am digging the improvements over the past few years teams.

I understand what you are saying but it is so frustrating that after 12 years we only made the playoffs once and got swept by Detroit there. Pretty much what happen with the Atlanta Thrashers. It was so bad that they couldn't even sell out 50 percent of their arena which is why they moved to Winnipeg.
How much longer will the Blue Jackets remain the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NHL.

At some point you have to let go of those years. The people running the organization then are not the people running things now. The Columbus and Atlanta situations are not even close, I would say apples and oranges but at least they are both fruit. If you can't see progress is being made, well I just don't know what to say. Change of the degree necessary doesn't just happen, it takes work, it takes a little time and it will need support.

But.... we do have a vaild organization now.... the best run organization since the CBJ formed... It's unlike me to say this but we must be patient...

Heck, we are missing Calvert, Horton and Jenner.... that is huge.

I just hope we hang in the standings to make their return exciting and meaningful.

Came back from dinner late to see the 3 goal parade.

Fwiw I do agree with you that the defense has been really bad and the culprit for a lot of the bad goals this season. Bob masked a lot of that last season. Unfortunately he hasn't returned to that high level of play yet this season outside do a few games. Tonight he looked out of position, which is very unlike him.

It looked to me that Bob was in position, the shots just went through his five hole. Still adjusting to the new pad rules? Don't know, but he has to be better than that.

Sutter does that on the rush over and over again. A lot of his goals are from that spot. Bob was definitely out of position on the first goal though.

If we can score two goals and lose 4-3 this will be a decent game.... The way the CBJ play this period will dictate how they play tomorrow....

The Jackets better score.... tomorrow begins now.

I'm with you. This organization has come a long way. Still lots of improvement to come. High expectations bring more scrutiny.

I think Richards has done a solid job, but I really think with peter laviolette out there we should make a run for him. We've improved every aspect of our organization, why not the coaching?

Coaches can't turn pluggers into snipers. All they can do is get the players to work hard and play smart, and we're doing that. Based on the quality of our effort I'd sooner give Richards an extension than let him go.

Richards has earned one full season.... no reason to fire him right now... If anyone Bob is the guy who should be fired.... ;)

Sorry but we've dominated possession and generated good chances for the whole game except for a couple shifts here and there. If the goaltending was the same we'd be ahead in this game.

Yeah and if the queen had balls she'd be the king

Major you are really an apologist tonight. We;re down 4-1 shoulda, coulda, woulda, we've sucked. End of story.

And have we quit forechecking? I haven't seen much of it tonight. Or since the Dubi hit.

So...Bob hasn't been good, but is anyone serious suggesting that the reigning Vezina winner is a lost cause after 12 games?

Come on Dubi. You KNOW they're going to have their eyes on Crosby. Gotta be smarter than that.

Their PP is a lot like ours. Only difference is that they can get the puck where it needs to go
