Sens being 15th out of 16 teams in East to begin season is not something I expected. Greatest top 9 in NHL, and their super D seems to be failing again.

Currently being shellacked 4-1 by TB.

To be fair, it can be hard to perform well in an organization that is a gong show. Trust me on this.

Matheson hasnt looked good since Savard went down. He needs a steady defensive D partner and he simply doesnt have him so a lot of his shortcomings are clearer

He needs more time in the offensive zone. Great sniper, generates chances…. But so much of it is individual effort. We have to be better at keeping the puck in the offensive zone.

Maybe they should try him with Monahan and Slaf.

I know some people didnt like Strombo when he was hosting but it was the right move to go with someone younger and fresher. They should have kept that approach when they replaced him.

He's been bad directly responsible for the first goal. Little to no success along the boards. these last 5 periods.
