Honest question, why do our defenseman always drop back so deep as opposed to defending the blue line? Trouba and Lindgren have been the biggest culprits historically but now it looks like they are all doing it. Makes very little sense given we have one of the top pick handling goalies and should be trying to force teams to dump it. I feel our biggest issue and this has been an issue for a few years is that we let other teams gain entry into our zone with possession so easily.

I know you're not the biggest fan of Rempe but I really think we just need some energy & emotion to get fired up for some of these games over the course of a long season. I think this team has issues, but I also think part of it is they just aren't getting up for these games. They've had the taste of long playoff runs and they all seem to be mailing it in somewhat, waiting for the playoffs. Not bringing the intensity.
