100% But you can't tell me this team is well coached. It's a disaster. Literally EVERY aspect of their game. There is zero structure right now. Zero buy in.
Completely agree, his time here is done. But the old boy network in the front office has to go. They’re the common denominator in all this underachieving mess.

They have lost Bertuzzi, Hall, Jake, Bergeron and Krejci and Marchand is 2 years older. They haven't come close to replacing that kind of talent.

They didn't have Hall, Bergeron, Krejci or Bertuzzi last season.

But they put up 109 points.
The only thing I can think of is they're sick of Monty and are trying to get him fired. Not sure I really believe it but it's the only thing that makes sense

Yeah, that would be hard to believe.

Because of a hellacious work schedule, I haven’t been able to watch very much of the Bruins this season. I’ve been keeping up with the results, though, and I’m left with this question: what the actual f*ck is going on with this team?

Serious question.

OK I see it now. It's your fault the Bruins play like 20 strangers picked at random off the street!!!

What a mess!

Only logical explanation for an entire team to become this bad overnight is a curse. A damn good one at that.

In just 11 games, Coyle & Frederick are both -9. Hampus & Marchand are both -6. Pasta -5. Considering the B's suck on the PK and PP, it's surprising they have won any games.

Put the 4th line back together.

Take both Pasta & Marchand off the power play.

Move Coyle to RW. He's been terrible on faceoffs. Maybe less defensive responsibility will help him.

Play Lindholm and Lindholm at the same time as much as possible. Maybe they can confuse the opponents.
Jack Edwards was the straw that stirred the drink the whole time, who knew!

We still shouldn't be THIS bad.
You are correct they should not be this bad, but you must admit losing that much in such a short period of time, and no replacements, has finally caught up to them. Monty is probably history, and probably should be, but he should be sharing a cab out of town with Sweeney.

Agreed. Just not sure how good they actually should be.
Certainly, better than this.

I am shocked at how bad the defense is.

Lines need to work together to get the chemistry flowing. I felt the team chemistry was so good last season. The coach needs to stop mixing it up so much.

From where we sit the players ALL look frustrated. Anyone who thinks this is fun for the players is wrong.

Something is going on...I am just not sure what or why.

Right that's my point

Team went 135-109-???

They don't adequately replace talent they lose

They got off to a great start last season ,the last 30 games or so they were really only a .500 team I also remember late in the season they got into this not generating much offensive and not getting shots ,and it continued into the playoffs especially when the Leafs started playing a more aggressive forcheck game, after getting down 3-1 in the series. An aggressive forcheck really turns this team into the keystone cops in own end.

I'd rather they looked pissed than frustrated.

Indeed, something is going on.

What a massive difference in play from last season. Bruins wanted a big hard hitting team and seemed to accomplish the big part. Not a lot of hard hitting from what I saw in the third period. They seem to use up all their remaining energy into try to stop the bleeding.

Oh, it is that too. I have seen some giving the stink eye to others.

I mean, these players are all competitive. The guys who have been on the Bs for a few years are not used to play this bad. No matter how much you crap on the team you have to admit that year after year they are usually in it.

Now I know how the fans from Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo and San Jose feel (plus others).

I still have to believe something will be done. IMO the guys in that locker room know the problem.

The mixing up of the lines and then splitting up the one line that is keeping you in games really sold me on getting rid of Monty. There's a few new bodies, it takes time to build chemistry for some but you aren't going to build it if you change them every other game. The other lines are struggling but let them figure it out together.

Freddy, Coyle and Geekie though, I don't know what you do with them. Carlo has just as many or more points than a few of our forwards and that doesn't include the couple of goals he scored last night.

With all the long term contracts with NTC/NMC paying guys into their mid 30s on the horizon and very little in the way of futures, we really need the team to turn it around for this season and have a good couple more seasons before the bottom really falls out with this team.

Goaltending played absolutely out of mind, they were simply INCREDIBLE. Lots of points gain only because of the great tandem Linus and Swayman were.

The vibe and energy ain't positive since the camp. Something is on for a while, symptom were notice at a couple of time, and now post game comments are head scratching.
I don't see neither feel the chemistry and no one seems to have fun.

When it ain't fun, with no chemistry, your chances of playing well diminish.

This tell is better that what we see.

Dude, you picked them to have 110 points and now you’re Mr They Don’t Have Any Talent.

What changed?

I don’t think the talent dropped from 110 point to 70 points. I think the effort and buy in has dropped.

I'm not sure. I loved what I saw on paper. The effort is not there. The skill is not there. The defense is a mess. The goalies. It's kinda everything. I am hoping they turn around for sure
