What is he talking about? What game plan? Does he use a different one every game?

Has he tried the start on time, skate hard, support the puck, hit their D, crash the net, and shoot shoot shoot plan yet?
I guess he's saying he was outcoached by Torts, but I didn't see the Bruins doing anything radically different than any other night.

So what do we do? Bring in a bottom pair defenseman for $5mil...That's not Zadorov's fault BTW, and I don't blame him. It was just such an unnecessary signing...Been saying it all summer.
I like Zadorov. He's been fine. He hits, he shoots, he clears the crease, and for a big guy he doesn't handle the puck like a grenade. However, he's a luxury. The Bruins essentially needed two wingers instead, one to replace Debrusk, and one to replace Marchand. They realistically have 2 legit top 6 players right now, who aren't even playing to their potential. Pasta and Lindholm. Forget waiting for Zacha, Coyle, Frederic, Geekie to become something they're not. Poitras is still young and developing, can't rely on him yet.

That was gross to watch.

Nobody cared. Half-speed all game. 1 shot in the 3rd period when you're down a goal. Who had more careless giveaways, Marchand or McAvoy?

Pasta was listless. H.Lindholm, throwing pucks into sticks and guys on their knees. Power play gave up more chances than they created.

They've lost by more in recent years, got blown out at times, but I can't recall seeing a game where they looked like they couldn't care less. That was shocking.

I just don't get how these guys can show that they have what it takes against toronto, then come out like this

4-5 coming into the night and show up flat. Don't know what there is to say about that. Not entitled to wins and not entitled to coast to a win, not even against a bad flyers team. Now they're last in the atlantic after 10 games

What was that?

That was a passionless squad of mostly (with the exception of a few) mediocre NHL players that that awful Don Sweeney has cobbled together, due largely to his incompetence and hubris, that will not be competitive for a SC this year, nor for several more.

I don't think Monty has ever heard of the things you speak of

Korpisalo's best game by far. That's the positive. The team has become too complacent. They need something to shake them up. What's planned for Frederic? Everyone is willing to give him the 4 year x 4 million contract he will probably want to get? That's not me. He's a passenger too often and just goes along with it. He won't be worth the next contract he likely gets. Pack him with Lysell and try to get a top-six right winger.

I was going to try to rank the players by tier earlier then I got sad hah.
But you pretty much nailed it.

I was in the too soon to think about replacing Monty, but after a performance like that I think it's time to start thinking about it. That was pathetic, embarrassing and a joke.

There isn't a single thing working with the team right now. Offensively they are bad, defensive are improving but not great. Special teams are awful. Where is the positives to take.

I missed this one, on vacation in Las Vegas, but:

I think Sweeneely KNOWS that they'd better fire Monty ASAP or it will doom their season and ability to dig out of this MESS. The time to do something is NOW.
Monty knows he's a dead coach walking. He's coaching like he knows that
he's pretty much finished behind the B's bench.
If Monty isn't replaced with a real, established, accomplished NHL now there will be no tomorrow (playoffs).
If there are no playoffs, Sweeney will be hard-pressed to keep his job.
Jacobs will not accept mediocrity or not making the playoffs.
IMO Sad Sack Sacco isn't the answer and they know it.
Not sure what Leach's style is but if he can't coach a north/south offense that
can dump & chase, and pound the opposition's defensemen then he may not be the answer.

I'd like to see Mike Sullivan back behind the bench but doubt that happens.
I'm not certain if Gerard Gallant is the kind of guy Sweeney would hire because he's a coach who doesn't appear to cower to a suit like Sweeney.
Sweeney gave the well-tailored Cassidy the job in place of Claude and then moved on to Montgomery knowing that he'd be easy to control because he gave him the opportunity to redeem his career.
Sweeney can't screw around and simply hand the job to the good ol' boys ju dour, he needs to be bold and get an accomplished, experienced coach or HE could be shown the door this off-season.
He had better not blow it.
