I try not to complain about officiating. Players and coaches make mistakes. Don't know why officials are expected to be perfect.

Anyone really upset about it can throw the stripes on and give it a shot. Skate a mile in another man's skates.
I've reffed other sports and know how hard it is to get things 100% right 100% of the time, Like Touch Rugby, you looked in the direction of the ball, being the focal point but you rely heavily on your peripherals and it's easy to miss things, get things wrong. If I could skate and had any match fitness I probably could ref hockey, but it is a tough job, especially when your out of position and get creamed

I don't watch much NCAA apart from the Frozen 4. Aren't coaches reluctant to give freshmen top-line and PP minutes? That would obviously cap their point totals.
depends on the program, but it is typically a challenge for true freshmen to get top line minutes...and especially on the top power play...these programs reward the players who stay, it is what wins them championships...kids have to earn their stripes which is why Paul Cotter went from barely playing on the third line to being a near ppg player in London...at least he was through his first 9 games...

Some are, some are not. Dick Umile was notorious for this at UNH - which is why Warren Foegele bolted for the OHL. The new coach is much better at giving the most important ice time to the best players, which is how it should be...

The biggest factor is just a huge strength and maturity difference between older players and younger players. It's a weird age group the 18-24 year range. Boys versus men quite often - but it's great for their development, because they have to come along quickly...

Every time I watch Quinn Hughes he reminds me a lot of Kris Letang with a more aggressive shooting mentality. He is so good

Craig saying that Quinn Hughes could play in the NHL right now without a doubt . Quite the high praise. I'll believe it when I see it but it's hard not to get excited about that comment

There’s a fairly good chance he will play in the NHL this season, Michigan is not very good

I doubt Hughes plays this year, with Seattle coming in, not sure teams want to burn a year of ELC on some of these kids....not sure what the Canucks overall roster would look like protection wise, but if Hughes plays one game this season he will have to be protected for the expansion draft...I personally would do it, but that means someone else will be unprotected.
