He has a point, with some of the plays he’s made already this game he could have like four.

Honestly though USA just looks really good after the first five minutes
Fine, goal. He's taken like a dozen shots one is bound to go through.

I haven't been checking the gametracker.

This is kind of an overreaction on my part but is Dahlin really that much better of a prospect than Hughes?

I assume the difference is defensively and physically but I haven't watched Quinn play much. Not sure how a player can be THAT much better offensively than he is though...

Hughes's skating is unbelievable. The only critique I have is that he tries to do too much.

Robertson's skating has been very good this entire year from the CHL to here...if this kid isn't with the Stars next year they should riot

I hope he can. His skating may not be the best in the world but it continues to improve and his offensive instincts are just fantastic. We really could even use a guy like him right now lol

Quinn Hughes is one of those d men that mesmerize you with their ability to skate and control a game. This Canucks fan can not wait for him to sign

I remember when you guys couldn't buy a solid prospect yet alone an elite one. Now you guys have a lot of them. Canucks definitely will be one of the fun teams to watch in the league.

Let’s not try to lose his creativity though, he does try to do too much but it’s still so much fun to just watch

Wahlstrom It’s pretty funny, it just goes to show how little he gives a **** this season with the way he’s playing now.

He looks like a completely different player, both in the pre-tournament games and now the main games

Or maybe it has something to do with playing against his age group instead of 21-24 year olds at the NCAA level. It's happened enough that I think we can stop questioning kids talent or character just because they don't produce immediately in college...

There is a reason kids like Paul Cotter struggle early on at the NCAA level - and then become immediate factors in the OHL. And it's age, not give a shit level...

I would say yes... but then I read NHL GDT's and they complain of the same things too.
I try not to complain about officiating. Players and coaches make mistakes. Don't know why officials are expected to be perfect.

Anyone really upset about it can throw the stripes on and give it a shot. Skate a mile in another man's skates.

If a Swede comes into the forum and catches us having this convo then there will be no more discussing the game on this thread from here out haha
I think it is a fair discussion here..both kids look to be elite talents, I am not saying Hughes will be better than Dahlin, but on a skill set POV, they look pretty similar..

nah, they are busts remember?? stats, stats, stats.....that is the HF way to solely judge a player according to some..no context needed.

Yup. Horrible drafting during our good run from 2009-2014 will do that. It was a desert.

Havnt been this excited since 2011. It’s just different and fun watching a young team come together

I said the same thing - going to be hard to hate these assholes like we did years prior!!lol...

Boeser and Horvat are just a treat to watch right now..Hughes and Pettersson are going to be elite players...

I don't watch much NCAA apart from the Frozen 4. Aren't coaches reluctant to give freshmen top-line and PP minutes? That would obviously cap their point totals.
