What game are you watching? A turnover that led directly to a breakaway against and a penalty is a shit period.

If he plays like this going forward, he shouldn't be playing because he's not a NHL caliber player.

They don't need to give him an extended look just because he was a former top prospect of theirs. If he stinks for 5-10 games, you don't just keep playing him because "maybe he'll be good if we wait".
Well yeah. They can't wait around forever with him. But he should get a good 10 game or so look.

I'm going to keep belaboring this point, but if POJ gives you 5 games like this, you can't justify keeping him on the NHL roster.

Can't risk punting him back to WBS because "asset management". The team which had to pay to get rid of Jack Johnson, Nick Bjugstad, etc. now worries about asset management regarding some AHL d-man being plucked off waivers?

The difference was that the veterans were coasting to get back in game shape while POJ was playing to get a spot in the NHL.

It's baffling to me that people on here are defending POJ's performance so far.
Not as baffling as how you continue to go all in on one opinion for a day and completely 180 and take the same hard stance on the other side of the argument the next day. A little nuance never hurt anyone.

Breaking news: you can change opinions when you get more information. Crazy, I know.
