I'm going to keep belaboring this point, but if POJ gives you 5 games like this, you can't justify keeping him on the NHL roster.

If he's playing like this in the NHL, I genuinely do not know that he'll even get claimed off waivers.

At this point I just want a more exciting roster. So I'd prefer Smith even if POJ slightly outplays him, which doesn't seem likely atm.
 
I think POJ would get more leeway and room to make mistakes and grow/develop on the job if he wasn't on a team trying to pretend they're still legit contenders in a hellacious Metro division where an off week can mean falling behind and end up being a desperate fight to keep pace for the playoffs.

Couldn't give a shit about him one way or another. I think he's trash (not in the Tanner Glass sense, but the Ruhwedel "who gives a f*** about this guy" sense).
 
Malkin apparently got a roughing on Kassian and Kassian got a double minor.

Ok, they gave the Pens a PP, but they are still making it possible to get Geno off the ice by trying to take his knee out and then roughing him for literally no reason.

POJ and Petts plus more for Chychrun. ;)
 
Pens get through this game with a couple more goals and then just dump and chase for the last period. But if Yotes come with the rough stuff, then yep pour it on.

Had one good pass. One really bad turnover. The penalty (which wasn't much of one tbh)

I dunno. I don't *hate* his game. But he hasn't shown a whole lot yet either. But he's done everything there is to do at the AHL level. They need to give him an extended look and if he can't hack it, then he can't hack it.
 
Missed that period…but Geno having to defend himself from opposing ruffians and then being called for a penalty screams NHL reffing…so glad it’s back!
 
Any theories as to why Geno is the 1st option on pp faceoffs and Guentzel is the 2nd option?

of course there is nothing to hate about his game not tonight, this is all bulshit
