I found the refs were more nervous in game one Blues/Jets than either team was, took refs at least 40 mins to calm down and call a normal steady playoff game. Just saying

It's often the case. The school of thought they teach you as a ref is to make a "good first call" because it sets the standard for the rest of the game. The Blues vs. Jets game was the first game of the playoffs, so the "good first call" was trying to set a standard for the playoffs. They mucked it up if you ask me. Things should settle out over time.

Agreed, they should become more consistent in this series and get a better feel of the play.
