How good did that feel to get out"In late 1803 the Lewis and Clark expedition got its start in Pittsburgh with the purchase by Lewis of a keelboat, supplies, and a Newfoundland dog named Seaman. By May a year later they were on the doorstep of the Louisiana Purchase and poling their way up the Missouri. Tonight, two hundred and twenty-one years later, the Red wings are also starting a journey via Pittsburgh that they hope to finish sometime towards the middle of next year. A journey that fans hope doesn't end with a boat on a river or even a girl with kaleidoscope eyes, but rather with an exploration of someplace this team hasn't seen in quite a few years - the Stanley Cup Playoffs."

This is completely knee jerk before the first game of the season has even started. Do we still not understand line shuffling happens? Injuries happen, call ups happen?Being on the 4th line (especially this 4th line) is a pretty bad sign for his future in Detroit, imo. I mean, look at this line:
Small defensive specialist
Small offensive specialist
Medium-sized stomping specialist
It truly is a spare parts line. What's its purpose out there?
If the Wings had any faith in Berggren, I'd rather see him with Kasper and Ras on the 3rd line, and then Copp, Fischer, Motte, Veleno, and Watson rotate through the 4th line for checking/shutdown purposes, with one of them probably being trebuchet'd into the Detroit River.
I'm gonna grip as hard as I can, just for you, here we go....This is completely knee jerk before the first game of the season has even started. Do we still not understand line shuffling happens? Injuries happen, call ups happen?
The first game hasn't began and yet again we have fans here all "so and so they have no faith in, look at him on the 4th line"
Get a grip, guarantee you he will get a chance to play with a ton of players within the first few weeks of the season, hes not a full locked in 4th liner now because that is where he is slotted during the literal first game of the year.
No grip me harder..I'm gonna grip as hard as I can, just for you, here we go....
The Wings have repeatedly shown they don't have much faith in Berggren. Between his call-ups (or lack thereof), TOI, deployment, sheltering, etc.... there is not much to show that this kid has much of a future in Detroit. Don't make me get norrisnick involved here.
Of course line-shuffling will happen... injuries... call-ups. Berggren is not going to play 82 games on the 4th-line. If you thought that's what I was saying, well, maybe I typed something I don't remember lol. It was merely commentary on game 1, and the starting points of each of these players, namely Berggren in this case.... and how the Wings still do not trust him. Which, as I said, doesn't bode well for his future. He's starting in a hole and will have to beat the odds to climb out of it.
That said, we'll see just how many players he plays with in the first few weeks. I kinda doubt it will be "a ton."
*releases grip*
Valet parking too!$70 on parking? Sounds like you got taken for a ride, not a parking spot. Greektown casino has a free shuttle bus
