I am actually all for firing Lombardi/Sutter, clean house.

But I know that's a pipe dream, and not worth complaining about.

So I just root for my favorite team, hope for the best.

They gave me Two Stanley Cups, I got to see in person. It was amazing, and can never be topped or taken away.

Really??? Tell me more? Do you understand how hard it is to find elite upper management?? Specifically Dean and his staff.

You realize that if you "fire" Dean you lose Futa and Yannetti?!

Last year they got crushed in the playoffs by the Sharks. Moreover, this is this year not last year.

And the Sharks were not as good at the beginning of last year as the Shark team starting this year and yet tonight was more competitive game.

Guess will agree to disagree, still think this team makes the playoffs, and you think they have no shot

Sure I know how hard it is to find quality people. It's darn hard to win Cups with good people in charge.

I just think it's time for a change, but I don't make that decision. AEG does.

So I like what the Kings got, lets do this. Take another shot.

Why? Is two Stanley Cups well played and worth Dean's parlay? And his shots at third rings? Without the hindsight of 20/20? Were you against the Sekera trade? Against the Lucic signing?

Sekera trade made sense. The Lucic trade was one of the worst trades in recent Kings history. Just an awful move giving up those assets for one year of a LW'er, not even a defenseman or 3C...

That's a price you pay for Cups, I take the Cups and the future.

The present is here, and Dean is back to looking at the future, while trying his damnedest to ice a competitive team.

I'm not complaining.

However, this team is at a point where they're good enough to make the playoffs, but not good enough to contend, and I don't see anyway out of that for the foreseeable future.

Well I'm gonna have to agree to disagree here, bud. Respectfully, Damacles :)

To be fair, they did need a top line wing. Just would've helped if it was someone a few years younger under contract. There are a few major holes on this team. Wing being one of them.

For what ever reason, Drew is pressing VS the Sharks, he messes up easy plays.

One of the reasons might be that his counterpart on the Sharks is torching his team. 3-8 against SJ since the start of last year. 6-10 since the comeback. 0-3 in the last 3 season openers. 0-5 on home ice last year.

Someone has had to try to do something, since the Sharks have been all over the Kings, and no better player to do that than Doughty, but yeah, he's had a few issues as a result.

With contracts the way they are, probably not.

You would have to tear down the whole team.

God that makes me want to shotgun a beer (not a dig at you, 11). We have some very inadequate wingers, for sure.

Just got to make do for the time being. Kings are getting Pearson & Gaborik back at some point. If the team is looking to make a push for the playoffs, Kempe might be an option by the end of the year.

Besides starting out with the roster a little on the lean side will force the team to battle through the regular season. By the time they make the playoffs and get some reinforcements it'll be easy mode.

Could have just re-signed Justin Williams, but DL has always had a hard on for Lucic.

We are in a rebuild, there is no way out. It just so happens we have elite talent on this rebuilding roster, so it goes.

We have some potential hits in the pipeline and all of our draft picks and a wizard running the org. Let's give it a couple years and stop being so ****ing knee jerk. Take a page out of the Pats book. Which I think Dean is doing.

God willing, Foli. It may not be this year, tho.

Kempe would help the transition through middle ice with his speed and size.

Although he is going to struggle putting points on the board most likely.

Hopefully he lights the AHL up.

Seriously.

Toffoli/Muzzin/Doughty/Kopitar(young)/McNabb/Clifford/King/Nolan/Quick/Pearson/Slava/Shore/ ETC.

All rookies at some point in this current regime's time frame......I mean seriously man.

Yeah thats why i wouldnt want to get rid of Dean he is great at drafting and developing only if he realizes the heavy style mentality is outdated and starts using those smarts towards speed and skilled prospects and leans toward a system to emphasize speed and skill. The system needs to change . Yes those players at some point played their role which lead to success but i dont think you understand what im saying.

The game is evolving . We must adapt with our system and players. King , Nolan , Clifford , Lewis , etc those players were effevtive at their roles at said time because at the time thats what the league was but now there is more speed and skill in teams lineups and theyre drafting skilled players. We must adapt n evolve with out colleagues or we stay behind. Like any business . Theres always things that u can improve to stay on top. Teams study and see what they can do to be better than their competition and the game keeps evolving and you cant stay grounded or else the business with the new style will take over . Teans always look to be better than our team , they studied Kings style and said what can i do to beat it and etc etc . With other teams doing same . The NHL is trending more towards speed and skill and trending away from grinding . Its more finesse.

Good point although Williams wasn't very good in 2014-15 and Lucic is a legit top 6er. But yeah, bad trade made into a horrific one by Lucic walking.

Also, I'm 100% positive Dean was banking on having Voynov back. I don't buy his BS about them always going to terminate him. So there's your d-man.

Kempe is the guy the Kings were missing tonight, especially with Pearson out. I really thought they were going to try him out, but I'm sure he'll eventually get his chance.

You do realize that won't happen this season or even two seasons from now.

Most draft picks take three to four years to make NHL rosters.

So which one makes you want to fire our guy? The one you liked or the one you hated? He also hit it out of the ****ing park on a 3C on Vinny, so stop right there with 3C arguments as it relates to 2015-2016, Omni.

If the Kings are going to build for the future, which I'm not advocating (yet), they should be shopping every single player on the roster starting with Carter and Martinez.
