Really don't understand the hype around that guy. Has literally no offense, isn't a great skater and like I said is just hilariously abysmal against the Leafs and these Bruins fans act like hes Zdeno Chara 2.0, funny stuff indeed. Dermott >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Carlo
37 games and we found the heir to Bobby Orr. Great times we're living in.

That wasn't the ultimate choke job, granted it was bad, but check out this one:

Chicago Blackhawks - Boston Bruins - June 24th, 2013

under 90 seconds to go
2 goals
15 seconds apart
bye bye Cup

now that's a choke worthy of Bill Buckner

(was adding Buckner too much?)

Nice try but the Leafs loss in 2013 is the ultimate choke job.

They had the chance to win their first playoffs series since 03-04 (still looking for that...) and choked the way no other team in history has, giving up a 3 goals lead with less than 10 minutes to go in the 3rd.

It was that bad that they didn't recover and followed that ultimate choke job with DNQ, DNQ and DNQ the next 3 seasons.

They got Matthews in the process so the Leafs eventually recovered from that total collapse. Good for your team.

Yea, way too much is made of the Leafs 2013 performance in game 7, that was a team that featured Tyler Bozak as their #1 centre, if anything it was embarrassing that it took OT in game 7 for that Bruins team to finish off that Leafs team.

Getting tired talking about all these dud dmen now, this coming from a fan of a team with years of different duds on the blueline, if we're gonna talk defensemen in this series at least mix in a little Krug, Rielly, McAvoy or Dermott..

I know what Rielly, Mcavoy, Krug etc can do. They are well known. Its worth more to talk about the depth guys, and what to expect. I could talk about Morgan Rielly and what his strengths are while not being a Leafs fan. I wouldn't know what to say about Dermott or Carrick.

Dermott is great. he plays easy minutes but he dominates them. Carrick won't play

I see you Bruins fans seem to forget your 3-0 series choke job against the Flyers a few years ago. Interesting how that works.

First, other teams have lost a 3-0 series lead beside the Bruins. No other has ever choked a 3 goals lead with less than 10 minutes to go in a game 7.

The Bruins followed their 3-0 collapse by winning the Cup the next season.

The Leafs followed their ultimate choke job with 3 DNQ.

Key in on Polak for the Leafs. Legend has he's never washed his equipment, and eats a clove of garlic on a raw onion between every shift.

Sounds like an excuse to dismiss the ultimate choke job.

A choke job is still a choke job.

The Bruins were a way better team than the Leafs back then too, our core was Phaneuf, Kessel, Bozak, Lupul .. (puke) and it still took you seven to beat em.

No Donato? So Babcock isn't the only coach that sits out better players in place of vets?
Yep, guess that wipes out either team making an excuse about not having Johnsson/Donato this game

Dermott = #3 playing on our 3rd line because he's LD, has ~7% Corsi Rel, absolutely dominating easy competition and likely should replace Hainsey on the top pair
Carrick = decent 5/6, definitely better than Polak, but provides the same strengths as our top 3 dmen so not too worried about him not playing

Donato is still a bit too easy to separate from the puck. Not strong enough physically just yet. If you guys go up in the series, chances are you will see him though.

You keep believing that if it makes you sleep better..........giving up 2 goals in 15 seconds in the last 90 seconds and having it cost the Stanley Cup........yeah not nearly as bad as a first round loss.:laugh::laugh:

I think Dermott could take over Gardiners spot as early as next year. He would this year if he wasnt a rookie IMO.

Must watch TV, gonna love this series, 2 original 6 teams at the top of their game, don't get much better than that.
What a double feature, follow this one up with Duck/Sharks in what should be a chippy/nasty series

Well, thanks to the Leafs being the chockers we know and losing that game away gave the chance to the Bruins to reach the SCF that year. While the end sucked not winning a 2nd Cup in 3 years, that ultimate comeback against the Leafs was well worth it.
