We can only hope the Avs are underestimating us tonite.

You looking at Sawyers keys to the game notes?

We certainly need less bigotry in hockey -- and by less, I mean "absolutely zero". And it's clear that as bigotry decreases, diversity would increase. As long as we don't make the mistake of trying to solve two unknowns with one equation (as in, thinking that by measuring demographic percentages we can measure both bigotry AND input-level biases), we absolutely should keep on with these measures. To steal an old punchline, "but what if nothing changes, and we eliminated all this bigotry for nothing?"

Diversity would also greatly increase if the sport wasn't gatekept by being upper middleclass or wealthier. But that's another egg to fry.

Regardless your needing someone unqualified to jump into the top 6…

My goodness we need to utilize our defensive depth to bulk up the forward corps
Woulda put Gagne in the top six tonight.
As is your right, of course. But I do encourage you to review the report at a time you haven't devoted for recreation.
well I have had difficulty sleeping lately.

I agree with you that such gatekeeping definitely gets filed under bigotry. "Hockey is for everyone" is inconsistent with "having a bouncer at the door so snarly and angry that even the Palomino Club drunks wouldn't mess with 'em". True North's work with Indigenous youth athletic groups is one of their more noble endeavours in that regard :)

AJF really looked like he wanted a stretch pass there but it came too late.

We seem to come out of the gate really all so far.

I wonder if this is a case of the boys having a solid control on the game, but without the seasoned head coach actively working behind the bench, they have trouble adjusting to (as they say) "having a great plan until you get punched in the mouth"
