That's what I was trying to suggest, that unless both get better that's not really a first pair. Even if they were to be sheltered then what, we'd expose Dillon-Schmidt or Samberg-Demelo to those matchups instead?

Morrissey hasn't really elevated Pionk's game in the past and Pionk's game has just been lacking since we left the Canadian division.

I think I just don't like our roster of defensemen. To me there just isn't any good combination of pairs.

I think Samberg-De Melo is PK1, so there's some logic there. Pionk can make plays out there, which might get Morrissey jumping in more rushes. Dillon-Schmidt were good last year. I like have the best skating defensive pairing to matchup against Colorado's speed. Good game to sit Stanley.

I think you can develop your delivery and your voice range.

I bet people HATED Chris Cuthbert when he started, but he is now beloved.

Of course, there are people who will be biased against a woman doing the job - so she'll always fight that.

Keep in mind, she has only called a handful of games so far, its an art form that takes a long time to hone.

I'd already rather listen to her than Brian Munz, or most of the Sportsnet weasels.

Or she could turn out like Paul “SHOOTING” Romaniuk and relegated to Spengler Cup action

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Jonsson-Fjallby get a start. Kid has some speed by all accounts, haven't seen him play yet. We are going to need speed to stick with the Avs. I think we should just start calling the kid AJF from now on. His name is a bit of a mouth full.

Appleton as a forecheck or puck pursuit guy makes some sense. I think Gagners play meshes better with skill linemates tho.

Either way sticking his hand out palm first as if he was wearing a baseball glove was a really bad reaction. If he had at least used the back of his gloves there would have been a much better chance that he wouldn't have gotten hurt. Big fan of Samberg in for Stanley. Logan's first shift last game looked like someone who had won a contest to play in an NHL game. He was falling and flopping all over the place.
