Why would Vilardi be Seattle bound? You think Seattle would trade for him or try to submit a claim on an expansion exempt player?
I know he's exempt...I'm just pissed off he's been injured and continues to sound like he's injured.Wish the Kings had taken Martin Necas and paired him with Domenic Kubalik! You know the player that scored a tonne the last 4 years in Czech Republic and Switzerland and GM Blake gave away for practically nothing! PS Necas is going to be a great player maybe Carolina's top centre and a few years time...Vilardi will probably be a footnote!

Kubalik never would commit to the Kings and wouldn't even come to camps, so how could the Kings do anything with him, let alone pair him with someone? He showed zero interest. That move had everything to do with Kubalik and nothing to do with the Kings.

Necas will be solid, but a #1? He's never shown anything close to that kind of ability. #1 guys come in and dominate at a young age, like Kopitar, McDavid, Towes, etc. His ceiling is a 2/3, which isn't bad at all, but he's never shown top line chops.

I hope Gabriel Vilardi returns to 100% full health! I have my doubts like everyone else with half a brain. Personally I think he's done. Stick a fork in he's done! I hope he proves me wrong...at best a 4th line RWinger...with the game going to speed the big guy becomes persona non grata!
You say you hope he returns to help then use glib disrespectful comments like “stick a fork in...”. You’re then saying he’s at best a 4th line winger, are you sure you’re a Kings fan? I tend to be more respectful of our players.

We all have doubts, none of us is claiming to be absolutely certain that he has spondylolysis. Whilst the spondylolysis diagnosis is nothing but speculation, it at least fits both the facts and the apparent circumstances. If he were “done” then there would be no reason not to announce it. He’s on the roster, the expectation is clearly that he will be back at some point. The open time line again fits the speculation.

We know he has not had major surgery and I’m struggling to come up with an alternative diagnosis that would explain what else we know. I’m far from an expert so it could very easily just be my ignorance. However, far more of what we know supports spondylolysis than it does your assertion that “he’s done”.

A lingering Fortnite injury?

Vilardi is like Bigfoot: We've heard about his legend, but has anybody actually seen him?

Kings fans really need to just erase this name from their synapses.

Vilardi will be lucky to live a life where he can tie his shoes without agony. Playing professional hockey is totally absurd.

We swung and completely missed and lost a first round pick. Tragedy happens. Just move on.

You are highly optimistic! Vilardi will be lucky to be a regular for the Kings...he's probably Seattle bound...so we can protect Petersen...provided Quick isn't dealt for some picks!
The fact that you think vilardi will be eligible for the expansion draft shows how far out of the loop you really are

Saw him at a Tim Hortons today in Kingston working the drive thru. Seemed to be alright as he had to extend his back to give the driver his iced cappuccino and 10-pack of Timbits.

I don't want him to risk it. I'm gonna get him this.
