Weber doesn't play 30 per game. EJ plays against the same competition that Weber does and in the same role. He also has better defensive numbers than Weber. Sooo what you're trying to say is the same things that make Weber an elite shut down D don't make EJ a top pairing D even though he's better than Weber at those same things?

Many reasons, including the D, which is poor, but not near as poor as you claim.

As far as the OP goes, as has been said...there isn't one player on the Habs that the Avs would take in a one for one for Landy.

ah yes ive heard that many times to exaggerate the value of landy. Not one player?? yes, as a die hard fan u might prefer him over pacs, Galchenyuk and Weber, but really? not one player? even the most delusional fan would take Price over Landy.

An oft injured Price in exchange for Landy when the Avs have zero need for a goalie? Yeah...not ONE player I would want. The only player I would have traded Landeskog for was P.K. and that ain't happenin.

It doesn't even matter "as a die hard fan". Landy is a better all around player than Patches, Galchenyuk, and Weber.

So yeah, what makes sense for the Avs is to not trade away their only top line winger in exchange for a lesser player or one that doesn't meet their needs.

Just because YOU value Price so highly doesn't mean the Avs do. Price is also a UFA soon and Landy is locked up to a better contract and cheaper. So...yeah. Not one player from the Habs entices me in a one for one trade for Landeskog.

Now if the Habs want to overpay (which they'd have to), that's a different story.

The Avs have Varly and Pickard in net. We have Landeskog as a top 6 winger. Only a delusional fan would give up Landeskog for Price, given the Avs roster.

Again in a vacuum Price has more value than Landy. But we have a huge team need for top 6 wingers. Landy has more value to the Avs than he does on the trade market. Can you not get that through your head?
