i here / read many teams want C's, do we trade freddy or keep him?
Trade him for what? Waiiiit. Is this one of those things where you start out with like...a paperclip, then keep trading up and up and up, then finally you have like a Ferrari? Because...I'm relatively certain that theory doesn't pan out that way in the NHL. And if it actually did, it'd be like 2149 before the team would wind up with anything actually useful.

Best you could hope for right now, is wafting the farts out of MacKinnon's breezers and doing a 1 for 1 with Freddy for those.

Future considerations?

It's incredible what confidence does for a team. This is basically the same team as last year and the first games of the season were timid and unexciting but they grinded out good results. Now they are buzzing and playing with patience and rely on each other to get the job done. Even the inuries are similar to last year. It's all in the head.

So, has Rossi started to make a leap? Haven't been able to catch any games yet, but stat wise, looking better and better.

He looks good, not massively different from last season, but stronger on the puck and carrying it more. Making great passes and getting to the front of the net. I would still say there’s some work to do on puck recoveries where his game could further grow, but lots to like so far when it comes to puck distribution, he’s found Kirill in stride enough to be confused for Zuccarello at times.

Getting stronger and stronger, as well as more experienced, but the main reason for his jump in stats is that he is playing with Kap. If he was a regular on the #1 PP his stats would go up even more(not saying he should be on it).

Great start this season after 7 games, production from many players...

Kaprizov: 13 points, superstar
Boldy: 10 points, worth his 7 sheets a yr
Zuccarello: 8 points, scoring goals again
Rossi: 7 points, finally looks like he belongs
Middleton: 5 points, great from a d-man
Eriksson Ek: 4 points in 5 games

Johansson: 3 points in 6 games
Hartman: 2 points in 4 games
Lauko: 2 points in 7 games
Bogosian: 1 assist, good on PK

Disappointing...
Foligno, Trenin, Khusnutdinov: 1 assist each in 7 games
Gaudreau, Ohgren: 0 points

They're going to put Hartman between Foligno and Trenin when he gets back, which is unfortunate. I'd much go Lauko/Ohgren-Khusnuts-Hartman and make the current 3rd line the 4th (or 3B) line.

Kaprizov has been a historically slow starter, so apparently those days are behind him, and if they're not, I can't wait to see what "fast" looks like.
