BTW that play with around 2:50 remaining where Mittelstadt went towards the end board and just poked at the puck with one hand and peeled off to avoid a hit is precisely why I have zero faith in him. Down one goal and he's okay with the turnover so he doesn't get hit. Has nothing to do with skating, cardio, systems, etc. Just straight up soft play.

Get him off this team.

In saying the Avs weren't good enough, I don't often blame the refs but they were atrocious tonight.

How the slewfoot on MacKinnon doesn't get called strictly because the refs don't want to give a 5v3 is unbelievable. Could have changed the course of the game.

He also seems like he has no idea what's happening out there. Another shift late in the 3rd the Avs were forechecking, Mitts in the slot watching and Colton turned a direction he didn't seem happy with and he flung his head back in a pissed off way, then the Preds iced it.

It's not that hard to swap out a couple of scrubs in the bottom six.

Our D seems to sick at the worst moments, would package a lot for a dehaan replacement. Get nuke and Drury together. I liked the Kelly line but … I have been wrong. (Once)

And yet he was still the guy who got the puck to Parsinnen who passed to Drouin to setup Malinski for our only goal.

Like I said, it was a shit night but Mitts isnt near the top of the list for the reasons why.

Sometimes you don’t have to trade everyone that’s struggling. I think Mitts and Wood need to go, and maybe Colton will find his game again with different players. He was really good earlier in the season
