The numbers seem good upon initial look but diving deeper:

Scoring Chances 24-17 Avalanche
High Danger Chances 10-6 Avalanche
xGF 2.43 - 1.68 Avalanche

Not good enough at all. Avs are only missing Nichushkin and Manson, and Manson doesn't help those numbers offensively.

Against a horrible Preds team, that isn't good enough.

You don't often get crappy Lehkonen games but that was one of them. Had two game tying chances on his stick in the last 10 mins alone and then the careless penalty.

He can’t a majority of his trades and signings haven’t worked. It’s a one line team w a coach who has never been able to adapt his style to the players he has a captain whose health has hamstrung this team for 3 years no veteran presence anymore….been following them since 95 and have to say this is by far the most frustrating team I’ve watched. Even in 16-17 they tried hard every night…

Avs played poorly and didn't deserve a win, but that was gross.
