You seem like you're overthinking this. There's no better goalie guy than Kevin Woodley. He thinks Wolf is a top 5 starter right now. He's absolutely winning games for his team. Hutson doesn't contribute to wins. His defensive work is absurdly bad. We're talking early Evan Bouchard being better defensively. Celebrini is already driving play. Smart voters are voting Wolf or Celebrini not all gas no brakes players.

I think you are underthinking this if you rely on smart voters voting for a major player award. Especially when we are comparing an offensive phenom playing in Montreal against a 24-year-old goalie (at the time of the voting) playing in Calgary.

Your take on Hutson, someone who is playing 23-27 minutes per night for the team that shot up the standings once he started playing a major role, is also absurdly bad but that's outside of the scope of this thread.

Nah, the absurdity is a guy playing 23 minutes per night who can't even defend at an AHL level. I've seen what I've seen. Hutson isn't a player who helps you win. I'd way, way prefer Guhle.

I think voters are getting smarter. Sure the MTL writers will vote for him, heck they all left Iginla off their ballots the year Theodore won the Hart, but everyone else knows what's going on.
