Over 2 pts a game ; still 17 years old... No invite to Team Canada not shocking but ...

There is a whole lot to like about this player.

These guys have a new Podcast regarding draft picks. Rocco is a Sens fan

I like Jake O'Brien a lot & he could be the skilled RWer Ott will need to replace Giroux at some point IMO. While he does put up a lot of pts on the PP he is also very skilled with the puck & will get better with age. It's funny, Bill Zonnon LW is a guy I also love the way he plays & would love to see Ott get him in the 2nd rd although they may need to move up to get him. That would be two great picks in next yrs draft who might not take that long to be NHL ready although O'Brien needs to put on some muscle & size. I like Rocco's analysis.

I don’t think so. Staios has said their plan is to push it back as far as possible.
It can only go back one more year. It’s either this year or next year. And if we KNOW this years is in the teens then we can’t risk next years being in the top ten

I think there are a few factors here.

1) If you believe Garrioch, they continue to try to get an extension or have the punishment removed altogether. If true, they will keep pushing until next year.

2) If we are in the teens the team may feel confident we won’t be lower next year. A risk for sure but really we shouldn’t be a bottom 10 team next year.

3) We are looking at some of our key players hitting UFA in the next 2-3 years. We will likely need a prospect or two to come and help us manage the cap at that point. Getting a prospect this year is an added year of development.

I don’t know what they’ll do but they’ve been pretty consistent that they intend on leaving it as long as they can.

Any conspriracy theorist think Dorion traded the 2022 and 2023 1st round picks so this didn’t happen to him on his watch?

Such a risk to go into the 2026 season without a 1st, anything can happen we’ve seen good Tampa and NJ teams miss the playoffs badly recently

Hopefully Andlauer can get it resolved this summer so the Sens can go into 2026 without getting a Royal bone job from Bettman if a goalie or Timmy get hurt.

I don’t like Bettman and never have, but super chump move to welcome Andlauer into a market that needs all the help it can get. no rizpek

I think they will give up this year's pick if they make the playoffs, regardless of finish after that.

I’m assuming Andlauer and Staios know more than we do in terms of likelihood Bettman rescinds/modifies the punishment, so whatever decision they make, it’ll probably be informed by that.

But why is the NHL playing games? Like if Staois doesn’t completely botch a trade and lie to the league and another team they’ll get their pick back - good behaviour for a team who’s management has had no bad behaviour. It’s stupid, just give the penalty ( or not) and lets all move on but now it’s a 3 year drama - dumb

I think they have to wait to year 3 to show the league there’s no funny business with this new group, and they’ll be rewarded but gain stupid

It's a first rd pick, you take it no matter what & whatever happens the yr after, happens. If they are picking in the teens their are still good players taken in the teens & there are a few this yr especially at RW that can help the Sens in the future especially with Giroux aging. They should keep fighting with the league to dismiss the case or decrease the penalty but they should not give up the pick before they absolutely have to.
