they seemed like they were in their own heads too much in the second half. going into the break down one after dominating the first half by that much did them no favors. The Croatia game on Sunday is going to be the decider, Morocco is beatable. A draw or especially a win and I think Canada goes through.

With Costa Rica better Japan today, Germany has a very tough road to get to the knockout out round. Every team above them has 3 points.

I actually think it helps Germany. If Japan won, Germany would have had to win against Spain, but with Japan’s loss and Japan still needing to play Spain, Germany can still advance with a draw with Spain and a win against Costa Rica on goal differential.
