Natalie Taylor will not return next season as part of Fox Sports Ohio's #CBJ coverage. She opted to move on rather than accept job changes.

Some of you get your wish

Yep just saw his tweet. Wonder what those "changes" would have been. Wish Natalie all the best.

RT @JeffMyersJr: @Aportzline What exactly was the job change? // Unclear to me. More sideline, less of a host role.

If that's the case then I obviously can't blame her for moving on. Yeah, she annoyed me but everyone wants to move up in the world and if they were reducing her role that certainly would not be how to do it.

I just hope whoever replaces her isn't worse.

it sucks to lose Natalie...I am proud to call her a friend, but I understand why she stood her ground...Fox is going to bastardize the sideline "reporting" across all teams...

She was harmless, but I stopped paying attention to her when I saw her pink Hello Kitty like notebook. You lose all credibility in hockey circles for something like that. Good luck to her wherever her career takes her.

Please explain.

don't have all the details...but basically they're just gonna dumb down the sideline reporting and no lead in or exit with the pre/post game like she did...so if you thought she was bad, you're REALLY gonna hate next year...when/if I get more info, i'll pass it along...

As long as the announcers are competent, I don't pay that close of attention to them. Fox's biggest problem by far was their production from an audio standpoint. The crowd mic's placed behind the nets picked up an irritating amount of glass pounding and banging that just overwhelmed the broadcast at times. Hopefully they have done some research in the off season and learned from other networks ( HNIC to name one) about mic placement.

There were things about her that drove me nuts. But, overall she was good. They can't make up their minds concerning broadcasting members. Not sure things will ever be good enough.

There was no point in having her at the desk doing an introduction to the game. Fox has a pregame show with Dave and Dan, they should be the only desk guys. Tell me of another major sporting league that has their sideline reporter work the desk before/after games?

Fox Sports Ohio needs to use the desk during intermission like most NHL teams do and have highlights from those guys instead of the un–narrated highlights, Bill's doodles and the feature stories that they re-air every other game.

I had no beef with Natalie. She seemed to get better as the season went on.

Now, I know Arena Host Mike Todd is not a Fox employee but for the love of God, why does he still have a *job?

Because he does the job he is supposed to do?

I just can't stand it when Rimer - who has a long career in communications - uses Columbus as a plural. Example: "And Columbus kill another penalty." Drives me nuts.

I know this is an old post but since it's the first one I see every time I visit this thread, I finally have to respond. You know that's a thing, right? I don't know how widespread it is in the NHL, but it's not bizarre or anything to refer to a team in the plural. It's generally how I go about it.

I don't get the Mike Todd hate, sure he's a bit weird, but his job is to be entertainment, and although its not really my style of entertainment, he does a good job.

It's not even entertainment. He is organized, personable and willing to spew out the tripe necessitated by the sponsors/contests/etc. I hardly think he's great, but I think we have a weird concept of what an in-arena host's job is. What I do know is this -- on the rare occassions when Todd has been out, his replacements have been even worse.
