jordan doesn't belong on the second line, he's why that line has been suffering. but we have to appease the staals so i'm sure he'll stay there. how about moving skinner and ruutu to the third line with jokinen so they won't be held back by j staal anymore?

Yes, he did. He dropped to cover his 5-hole and Lupul took it around him to the far post.

Earlier people were getting on him for opening his 5-hole to try and get across. Now he's supposed to open up and let the 5-hole go? While sitting that far back in the net because he couldn't have known that Corvo was just going to disappear?

That goal was 110% on Corvo. No goalie in the league is going to consistently stop a guy cutting across the net on his forehand with that kind of speed.

Not to mention Lupul didn't have a spot on net he hit when he wrapped it, he hit the post and semi-magically wiped it in off the rebound behind Peters who was, in fact and contrary to some's belief, moving.

That goal began 197' away on a poor line change and Lupul wrapped-it up so much Corvo was a deer caught in headlights.

Well, Sasha got all mad after that empty-netter. There's the passion. Eric and Jordan both scored huge goals. There's the leadership.

What now?

If they keep doing that every game, they might win a couple. My gut tells me that after this loss they will go back into their little pouty shell and tank the season. Hope I'm wrong.

His contract, his health issues, and his recent play means he'd get far less than what JR would determine acceptable.

He'd be worth a good second-pair d-man right now, but not a young one. I can't believe any GM would watch tape of him for the last 20 games and think he was a guy they wanted to hitch their wagon to.

oh I agree but even if he started playing better, I'd try to trade him in the offseason. I don't think he works for this team anymore. I know he's still really young but he's prone to concussions, awful defensively and is just not the offensive force he needs to be.

I'm still confused about the Staal penalty. It looked like at worst he pushed the puck with the outside if his glove to Harrison while getting taken down. That's a penalty now? The whole point of the new, stupid" rule, was to prevent guys from tying up and hand passing from the dot.

Strip the captaincy. That'll do something. Not sure who you give it to, I mean, ****, give it to Dwyer or Gleason or Chad ****ing LaRose. But someone who isn't a pouty whiny *****. Some people wonder why we never get a ****ing call.

Well, ok, that's fine. This game and last have made it a lot easier to not sign the season ticket renewal.

Seriously, I want someone to explain how Peters makes that save without exposing his 5-hole in EXACTLY the same way he was roasted for doing on the first goal.

The fact that anyone is defending Peters on that goal means I need to see another replay...because clearly I'm missing something.

The funny thing is he did expose his five hole on that goal the same exact way he has been getting burned for it, but it just didn't happen to go in there....

He dropped and closed it, then tried to put his left pad out as Lupul went around.

It seriously seems like everyone watched a different goal here. Probably because we were all busy throwing remotes.

The fact that Lupul didn't score with his shot but wiped-in the rebound off the post with a swung stick as he was going by behind Peters seems lost on you.

trade skinner?

you guys are nuts. whiny little wee nancy or not we are as tied to him as we are the staals. regardless, he could be an amazing player when he grows up. thats the downside to riding an 18 year old because he has the skills. doesnt mean he has the head. all the growing pains he wouldve gone through in more juniors or the ahl is playing out in front of us.

this isnt his fault regardless. if your team needs two 20 year olds to win you arent a winning team.

Been saying this for a couple weeks. I don't think there is a worse captain in the league. I'd be fine with giving it to Gleason or even Justin Faulk, at least those guys show some fire and courage.
