Oh yeah, in high school, I worked for Grant Fuhr's second cousin. The second cousin is now VP of that company. Hooray two degrees of separation and three to my childhood goalie idol Dominik Hasek

Mackinnon played under the same coaches in Bantam as I did, my new team practiced immediately after them so I got to go out and set up pilons and watch an underager tear apart kids 2 years older than him twice a week.

Spent over a decade in elementary school and the first year of high school with Aaron Ekblad. He'd come back from Barrie during the summers and we'd see each other now and then. Last time I talked to him was actually at a highschool prom after party a week or two before the draft LOL

I used to see Zack Kassian around town a lot before he went pro.

Um, my best friend got beat up by PK Subban when they were young kids. He absolutely deserved it, they were very young and my friend said something, ahem - inappropriate to him on the ice.

Not exactly a friend, but I did play street hockey against Crosby a few times. He was maybe 11 or 12 at the time, while I was a few years older, but holy crap, you could tell even then how good he was.

Actually met him again last year at work. Had to sneak him into the hotel for his friend's wedding without anyone noticing because he didn't want to steal the spotlight from the people getting married.

I could also tell you a few stories about Brad Marchand... but it would probably be considered slander since I can't actually prove they're true. I'm sure you can imagine.

Went to school with Doug Gilmour's niece. Used to make me angry that she didn't know enough about hockey to realize how awesome that is.

My girlfriend's dad was good friends with Rick Tocchet and Craig Berube. They all played together in college. Rocket even sent him some used skates a while back.

Who the hell is Rocket? Make sense when you lie people.

I'm talking to a Buffalo Sabres prospect on an online game as we speak.

Can't even fathom the odds of this

Close friend of mine. (not a hockey fan at all, typical)
First cousins are the Moore's (Dom, Steve, Mark)

Has quite a few stories about them, odd talking since he has no interest in hockey at all and all of the stories seem so nonchalant.

"At Christmas, Steve rented the ice and we all went skating - he brought me skates from a guy he plays with cause I couldn't find my size"
...."You talking about Brian Boyle?" ...."oh yeah, him...he must have big feet too"

"He had a get together after his wife passed, bunch of random people there playing pingpong tournament" ...."One guy I knew played for the Leafs I think, think it was Gilmer? Gilmour?"

3rd cousin or second cousin with shane hnidy. I've never met him but i have a close relationship with my cousins who do occasionally see him. My grand mother use to baby sit bobby clarke. I use to live next door to Jordin Tootoo's billets. Tootoo would come to visit them and one time he took me and a few other kids for a ride in the viper sports car.

My aunt and former uncle were great friends with many of the older jets.

I met Aaron Downey a couple of years ago in Toronto. He was ****ed. I was also pretty drunk though. I got a picture of him fist-bumping me and his hand was literally the size of my head and double the size of my hand (I have about average sized hands and a normal sized head). It was ridiculous.

I used to live in the same building as the Koivu brothers. I was so young then that I didn't really get to know them, but my dad still sees them occasionally.
I also used to live in the same building as Sami Salo's mother. I know him a bit better because my mom and his mom are still good friends and when they see each other and Sami's in town I usually go with them because I like chatting about hockey with him.
I also got a ton of stuff, mainly hockey cards, signed by both the Koivu brothers and Salo.

Related to Jarred Tinordi, Mark Tinordi, and Vernon Fiddler.

Lupul grew up as friends with my cousins so I met him while I was really young. Back when he played in the Dub. My dad grew up playing against Kelly Hrudey. He also was friends with Troy Murray. As for me, I know people through friends. My buddies went to junior high with Nick Merkley and were friends with Barzal. A guy I know went to school with Brayden Point. Then had friends playing in the Macs Midget tournament against Sam Steel and others.

Oh, my dad played for Perry Pearn and my cousins are good friends with Carolina's coach. Aside from those, just know alot of Dub players.

I grew up playing hockey with Paul and Geno Cavallini's kids, and they've got all sorts of hockey connections. Does that count?

Also. A friend of mine was the childhood friend of Jaden and Mandi Schwartz
